Lewis, Burrows Hit 50 Goals on Milestone-Filled Saturday
DAY IN REVIEW: SATURDAY - Today featured a pair of career goal milestones, with Pittsford's Grant Lewis reaching 50 in an 11-3 win over Spencerport that
kept the Panthers unbeaten at 7-0, and McQuaid's John Burrows also hitting 50 in an 13-11 loss to Marcellus. Churchville-Chili's Isaac Bailey surpassed 300 career faceoff wins and Larry Copeland set a school record with 10 caused turnovers in a 12-2 win over Gates Chili, Spencerport's James Newtown reached 600 career saves in the loss, Pal-Mac's Jackson Dennie posted six goals in a 16-1 win over Wayne, and Geneva edged Aquinas 4-3 in the day's closest finish.
CHURCHVILLE-CHILI-12 at GATES CHILI-2 - Churchville-Chili picked up a 12-2 Monroe County D-3 win at Gates Chili on Saturday afternoon. The game featured two individual milestones: senior Isaac Bailey surpassed 300 career faceoff wins, finishing nine-for-11 (82%) to reach 302, and senior Larry Copeland set a school record with 10 caused turnovers in a single game.
For Churchville-Chili (2-4), senior Jack Sloan led with four goals and one assist, while senior Jaxon Leonard added two goals and four assists and Bailey contributed three goals and
one assist. Senior Grayson Galliford and freshman Austin Gefell each picked up their first varsity points, with Galliford scoring his first varsity goal and Gefell recording his first varsity assist. Junior Kaiden Leiston was perfect in goal, stopping three shots for a 100% save percentage in 24 minutes.

GENEVA-4 at AQUINAS-3 - Geneva held off Aquinas 4-3 in a tight non-league game Saturday morning at Aquinas, taking the lead for good with two goals in the third quarter. The win gives Geneva a 10-8 all-time edge in a series that has been closely contested since 2003.
For Geneva (2-0), senior Ryland Dunham led with two goals, while junior Jack Dunham added one goal and two assists and senior Ben Budgar chipped in one goal. Junior Owen

For Aquinas (3-3), freshmen Kellan Campe, Parker Wegman, and Chase Acker each scored one goal. Senior Owen Shavron picked up his first varsity assist, and senior Jack Bell added one assist. Sophomore Bryce Miller went four-for-five at the faceoff dot (80%) and junior Mike Martell added two wins in three attempts (67%). MARCELLUS-13 at MCQUAID JESUIT-11 - Marcellus handed McQuaid Jesuit a 13-11 non-league loss Saturday morning at McQuaid, scoring five goals in the second quarter to build a lead that McQuaid could not overcome despite a strong five-goal third quarter. The series between the two programs is now even at one win apiece.
For McQuaid Jesuit (2-2), senior Domenic Giangreco led with four goals and two assists,
while senior Aidan O'Brien added two goals and two assists. Junior John Burrows contributed two goals and one assist, reaching 50 career varsity goals in the process. Giangreco went 12-for-16 at the faceoff dot (75%) and senior Hudson Proia added nine wins in 12 attempts (75%). Junior Jackson Paladino stopped 13 shots for a 50% save percentage in 48 minutes. SPENCERPORT-3 at PITTSFORD-11 - Pittsford stayed unbeaten with an 11-3 non-league win over Spencerport on Saturday afternoon at Sutherland, ending the Rangers' perfect start to the season. Freshman Bear Wehrheim was sharp in goal, stopping 12 shots for an 86% save percentage in 45 minutes.
For Pittsford (7-0), junior Grant Lewis led with three goals and three assists, reaching 50
career varsity goals with 52 total. Junior Max Morgenstern added three goals and one assist, and junior Charles Hezel scored his first varsity goal. Jack Healy, Jahyden Maiorani, Trevor Nally, and Avery Valenti each added one goal. Freshman Keegan Jacob went 11-for-12 at the faceoff dot (92%).
For Spencerport (4-1), senior Zach Tortora led with two goals and sophomore Gavin Brown added one goal. Sophomore James Newtown stopped 20 shots for a 65% save percentage in 48 minutes, reaching 600 career saves during the game, a total that includes his time previously at Brockport. WAYNE-1 at PAL-MAC-16 - Pal-Mac picked up a 16-1 tournament
win over Wayne on Saturday evening at home, scoring seven goals in the first quarter and never looking back. The win gives Pal-Mac a 16-10 all-time edge against Wayne.
For Pal-Mac (3-1), junior Jackson Dennie led with six goals, while sophomore Max Hill added three goals and three assists and junior Reid Diehl contributed three goals and one assist. Senior Brandon Dennie chipped in one goal and two assists, and Branden Thomas added two goals. Junior Drew Ikewood stopped three shots for a 75% save percentage in goal.
