DAY IN REVIEW: FRIDAY - Friday's biggest story was Thomas ending Brighton's unbeaten season with a 12-7 Monroe County D-2 win, with Jake Nicolay posting four goals and three assists. Elsewhere, Canandaigua picked up its first win of the season with an 18-11 decision at HF-L behind five goals each from Patrick Olvany and Ryan McKeegan, Irondequoit rolled past Brockport 19-2 with four goals each from Liam West and Kieran Stenzel, and Penfield's Colin Miller surpassed 400 career faceoff wins in a 16-3 win over East United-Eastridge. Victor stayed strong with a 14-2 win at Schroeder, Hilton topped Rush-Henrietta 15-4 behind four goals from Cahlan Smith, and Greece Storm's Eric Odell reached 600 career faceoff wins despite a 16-1 loss at Fairport.

CANANDAIGUA-18 at HONEOYE FALLS-LIMA-11 - Canandaigua picked up its first win of the season with an 18-11 Monroe County D-3 victory at Honeoye Falls-Lima on Friday evening, building an early lead and holding on as HF-L scored 11 goals of its own. The win gives Canandaigua an 11-1 all-time edge against HF-L.

For Canandaigua (1-3), senior Patrick Olvany and junior Ryan McKeegan each led with five goals. Junior AJ Sterman added two goals and four assists, and junior Marshall Bolster contributed four assists. Landon Mortier and Joel Lloyd each chipped in two goals, and senior Shane Cooke and junior Kyle Farrington each added one goal, with Cooke scoring his first varsity goal. Junior Peyton Fritz went 20-for-30 at the faceoff dot (67%). Senior Quentin Shedrick stopped 10 shots for a 53% save percentage in 44 minutes.

For Honeoye Falls-Lima (3-1), senior Marco Vengoechea led with two goals and four assists, while senior Jackson Coon and junior Grady Goodberlet each added three goals. Coon also contributed two assists and Tanner Olin chipped in two goals. GREECE STORM-1 at FAIRPORT-16 - Fairport picked up a 16-1 Monroe County D-1 win over Greece Storm on Friday evening, extending its all-time record against the Storm to eight-for-eight since 2019. Despite the loss, Greece Storm senior Eric Odell reached a career milestone, surpassing 600 faceoff wins with 12 on the night to push his total to 610.

For Greece Storm (1-6), sophomore Michael Atseff III scored the team's only goal, with senior James Maccallini picking up the assist. WEST GENESEE-16 at PENN YAN-6 - West Genesee handed Penn Yan a 16-6 non-league loss Friday evening at Penn Yan, jumping out to a 6-1 first-quarter lead and never looking back. Penn Yan falls to 3-2 on the season.

For Penn Yan (3-2), senior Collin Bacher led with two goals, while senior Braden Fingar added one goal and two assists. Junior Miles Ditzell, senior Tukker Fisher, and junior Mike Gigliotti each chipped in one goal. Freshman Jameson Milroy stopped 13 shots in goal. West Genesee's faceoff duo of Sam Vormwald and Santino Sanford combined to win 16-of-26 draws.

The West Genesee (1-2) book shows Nash Oudemool led with five goals, Luke Lockwood added three goals and one assist, and Jeffrey Mercer contributed two goals and two assists. VICTOR-14 at SCHROEDER-2 - Victor extended its winning streak against Schroeder with a 14-2 Monroe County D-2 win Friday evening at Schroeder, scoring 12 unanswered goals at one point to pull away. Seven different players scored for the Knights, who improve to 4-1.

For Victor (4-1), sophomore Nathan Terrance led with four goals, while junior Jackson Mead added two goals and three assists. Senior Will Johnson and senior Gage Hay each added two goals, and AJ Finochario contributed two goals. Asher Tantillo scored his first varsity goal, and Terrance also scored his first varsity goal. Sophomore Ravi Chitre picked up his first varsity assist. Sophomore Eli Ricci went 13-for-18 at the faceoff dot (72%). Junior Will Simpson was perfect in goal for 30 minutes, stopping five shots, and sophomore Kijo Smith added three saves for 60% in 18 minutes.

PENFIELD-16 at EAST UNITED-EASTRIDGE-3 - Penfield picked up a 16-3 Monroe County D-1 win at East United-Eastridge on Friday evening, scoring seven goals in the first quarter and 12 straight at one point to pull away. Eleven different players scored for the Patriots, who extend their all-time record against East United-Eastridge to five-for-five.

For Penfield (3-3), junior Griffin Banister led with four goals and one assist, while senior Brodie Joyce added two goals and four assists. Junior Aaron Hardaway chipped in two goals, and Colin Miller, Manny Castro, Jake Maurer, Tyler Pavone, Ewan McCormick, Gabe Robards, Garrett Hynes, and Carson Welz each added one goal. McCormick scored his first varsity goal, and junior Connor Morris picked up his first varsity assist. Miller went nine-for-nine at the faceoff dot (100%), surpassing 400 career faceoff wins with 404 total, and sophomore Will Taddeo added 12 wins in 13 attempts (92%). Junior Nate Roche stopped five shots for a 63% save percentage in 24 minutes.

Senior Joshua Jobson stopped seven shots for a 58% save percentage in 36 minutes, and sophomore Eli Van Schaffel added three saves for 60% in 12 minutes.

Senior Colin Giudice contributed two goals and four assists, and senior Hank Velepec added two goals and two assists. Junior Andrew Scafetta scored two goals, including his first varsity goal. Sophomore Matt Long went 12-for-14 at the faceoff dot (86%), and junior Griffin Kilminster added four wins in six attempts (67%). Sophomore Colin Landrigan stopped five shots for a 71% save percentage in goal.

RUSH-HENRIETTA-5 at HILTON-15 - Hilton picked up a 15-5 Monroe County D-1 win over Rush-Henrietta on Friday evening at home, scoring eight goals in the first quarter to build an early lead. The win gives Hilton a 16-12 all-time edge in the series.

For Hilton (4-1), senior Cahlan Smith led with four goals and one assist, while senior Tyler Reger added three goals and two assists and junior Gianluca Auriuso contributed three goals. Drew Brien chipped in one goal and one assist, and Jack Palmer, Max Bell, Cam Wilson, and Jason Cunningham each added one goal. Lucas Grizzanti went 17-for-18 at the faceoff dot (94%).
