Fairport Falls to OP
Orchard Park topped Fairport 13-6 Monday night in a non-league game, building a 5-2 first-quarter lead and outscoring the Red Raiders 8-4 the rest of the way. Fairport falls to 0-2 on the young season.
For Fairport (0-2), sophomore midfielder Marco Provenzano led with two goals, while senior attackman Jack Gosiewski and freshman midfielder CJ Trumble each added a goal and an assist. Senior attackman Ryan Priddy and senior faceoff midfielder Corey Roeser each chipped in a goal. Three players earned their first varsity points: Provenzano scored his first varsity goal, and both Trumble and sophomore attackman Grant Ralston recorded their first varsity assists. Roeser went eight-for-11 at the faceoff dot (73%), and junior Cameron Miller added a perfect one-for-one showing. No statistical report was available from Orchard Park (1-0) at post-time.
