Spencerport Reloads for 2026

Program Outlook

Spencerport enters the 2026 season in Class B after posting an 11–7 record a year ago. SpencerportThe Rangers showed balance throughout the season, mixing decisive wins with a number of close contests, and advanced into sectional play. With seven seniors graduated but a strong returning core, Spencerport begins the season positioned to remain competitive while integrating new leadership roles across the field.

Coaching Stability

Bill Buttaro returns for his seventh season as head coach, carrying a 57–30 record at Spencerport. A former Irondequoit standout, Buttaro has guided the program through sustained success and continued postseason appearances. His experience and continuity remain a central piece as the Rangers transition from a senior-heavy roster to a younger, but still proven, lineup.

Roster Transition

Spencerport graduated seven seniors, including several All-League and Academic All-American honorees who played key roles at midfield, attack, defense, and in goal. Despite Spencerportthose losses, the roster remains deep, with two rising seniors, eight juniors, and five sophomores returning. That balance provides both experience and long-term continuity as players step into expanded roles.

Returning Impact Players

The Rangers bring back a strong group of decorated contributors. Zach Tortora returns after a standout season with 66 goals and 16 assists, earning All-League First Team Midfield honors and HM All-Section recognition, while also announcing his college plans with Canisius. Gavin Brown is back after scoring 39 goals and adding 12 assists as an All-League Second Team Attack selection. Mason Endres also returns following a 22-goal, 23-assist season and All-League Honorable Mention recognition. On the defensive end, Brody Kaye, who has committed to Lafayette, anchors the unit after earning All-League First Team Defense honors, joined by Michael Rush and other returning contributors who earned league recognition.

Statistical Overview

Spencerport totaled 224 goals in 2025 while allowing 161, averaging 12.4 goals scored and 8.9 goals against per game. The Rangers return 148 goals, accounting for 66 percent of last season’s scoring, along with 65 assists, representing 48 percent of their assist production. The team recorded eight wins by five or more goals and played eight games Spencerportdecided within five goals, including one one-goal win and two one-goal losses, underscoring both scoring depth and competitive balance.

Games This Year

The 2026 schedule again features a demanding mix of league and non-league matchups. League games, designated as MC2 contests, include games against Victor and Thomas, both serving as key benchmarks in league play. The remainder of the schedule consists of NL games against opponents such as Grand Island, Fairport, Hilton, Canandaigua, and Irondequoit, providing a steady test as Spencerport prepares for postseason play.
