Penn Yan continued their strong start to the season with a victory over Thomas in a non-league matchup, securing a 13-9 win. The teams were tied at two goals each after the first quarter, but a scoreless second quarter left the game open for a shift in momentum. Penn Yan took control in the third, putting up eight goals while holding Thomas to two. Thomas fought back with five goals in the final quarter, but Penn Yan’s early offensive surge proved to be the difference.

Leading the way for Penn Yan was Teagan Fingar, who finished with five goals and one assist, while Tukker Fisher contributed three goals and two assists. Miles Ditzell and Mike Gigliotti each added two goals, and Braden Fingar had one. In goal, senior Will Thompson recorded 22 saves with a 71% save rate. Thomas had multiple contributors, with Jonah Jobson scoring three times and Brett Mersdorf adding two goals and two assists. Lucas Nuccotelli and Jake Polizzi each had one goal and one assist, while Carter Chase, Brandon Trottier, and Joshua Jobson also found the net.
