In an MC-D1 league showdown at Fairport, the host team triumphed over Penfield, securing an 8-5 victory. Fairport (2-1) rallied late, scoring five goals in the third quarter and two more in the fourth, while Penfield (0-4) struggled to find their rhythm in the latter stages after a strong first half. Unfortunately, no stat report was available for Fairport.

Leading the scoring effort for Penfield were Brodie Joyce, Griffin Banister, Manny Castro, AJ Theodorakakos, and Tyler Pavone. Pavone contributed one goal and one assist, while junior goalkeeper Mason Schembri showcased solid performance with a 60% save rate, stopping twelve shots over forty-eight minutes. Junior Colin Miller also played a pivotal role in face-offs, going 9-8 with a success rate of 53%.

Despite the loss, Penfield fought hard and held their ground, keeping the series history competitive at nineteen wins to eighteen in favor of Penfield. Both teams now turn their attention to challenging matchups against West Genesee later this week.     [ Story and BOX SCORE
