Thomas Overcomes Rush-Henrietta

The Thomas lacrosse team surged ahead in their non-league game against Rush-Henrietta tonight, securing a 15-6 victory. The contest, played at Rush-Henrietta, saw both teams tied at 3-3 after the first quarter before Thomas pulled away in the second quarter with six goals. Leading scorers for Thomas included Blake Jipson with six goals and two assists, and Jonah Jobson with five goals and three assists. Brandon Trottier contributed three goals and one assist, while Jake Polizzi added one goal. Junior goalie Joshua Jobson made 11 saves on 16 shots (69%) in 46 minutes for Thomas.

Rush-Henrietta, now holding a 2-1 record, saw notable performances from Zachary Winner, who recorded two goals and one assist, and Preston Jackson, who added a goal. Ryan Vacanti also contributed with one assist. Junior faceoff midfielder Preston Jackson reached a milestone, achieving his 200th career faceoff win with seven victories on the day. Despite their efforts, Rush-Henrietta managed only three goals in the first quarter and three more spread across the third and fourth quarters.

With this win, Thomas improves to 2-0 for the season and will face Pittsford on April 7th. Rush-Henrietta looks to bounce back as they prepare to take on East United-Eastridge on the same day.      [ BOX SCORE
