McQuaid Jesuit Secures Victory Over St. Francis

In a non-league matchup at St. Francis on March 31, McQuaid Jesuit claimed an 8-3 win, extending their undefeated start to the season to 2-0. The Knights led from the beginning, scoring across all four quarters with contributions from Domenic Giangreco, who netted three goals, and AJ Quagrello, who added two goals and two assists. Jack Rawleigh played a pivotal role in goal, saving thirteen shots and maintaining an 81% save rate. For St. Francis, all their goals came in the second half, as their offense struggled to break through early in the game.

John Burrows tallied his first Varsity goal for McQuaid Jesuit and contributed an assist, alongside teammates Will Engle and Dominic Bianchi, who scored one goal each. Rawleigh’s efforts helped secure McQuaid’s twelfth consecutive victory over St. Francis, a streak dating back to 2008. For St. Francis, their three goals came from a late surge in the final quarters, but ultimately, they were unable to match McQuaid Jesuit's pace and defensive team effort.

McQuaid Jesuit will now turn their attention to their upcoming game against Canisius on April 5.
