DAY IN REVIEW: THURSDAY - Canandaigua came from behind and won their game with Irondequoit by a single goal. Waterloo scored three goals in the third to help win their 6-5 game with Midlakes-Red Jacket. Hilton on a winning streak took out Fairport 9-4, and Penn Yan fought off a charge by Geneva in their 7-5 win at home.

FAIRPORT-4 at HILTON-9 - The Cadets scored the first two goals and never lost the lead as they saw three goals and 2 assists from senior midfielder Aiden Cawley. Hilton Led 5-2 at the half and 6-4 after three quarters. Leading the scoring for Hilton (4-2) were Cawley (3g-2a), Chase Wilson (3g), and Colton Thorp (2a). Facing off for Hilton was Michael Mitrano with 7+/2- = 78%, and Drew O`Buck with 5+/2- = 71%. In the goal for Hilton was Jason Mosher with 14s/4ga = 78% (48 mins). HFL-9 at GREECE STORM-5 - The Cougars maintained their undefeated status with a 9-5 win at Greece tonight. After a 2-1 first quarter they led 5-2 at the half. Still in it in the third quarter the Storm god at close as 6-4 after three quarters but HF-L scored three more in the last stanza. Scoring for HF-L (4-0) were Chase Perryman (4g-1a), Quinn Kailbourne (1g-1a), Mathew Brassie (2g),  Drew Angelo(1g), and senior defenseman Donnell Hall (1a). Freshman midfielder Marco Vengoechea (HFL) scored his first Varsity goal (1g-1a). Facing off for HF-L was Drew Angelo with 15+/2- = 88%. In the goal was Trevor Reese with 6s/5ga = 55% (48 mins). The Cougars took the lead in their series 3-2 and will play at East Aurora on Monday.

IRONDEQUOIT-6 at CANANDAIGUA-7 - Canandaigua maintained their undefeated season at (5-0) with this exciting game at home. After taking a 3-0 first quarter lead, the Braves scored two more to go into the break up 4-2. The Eagle defense held CA scoreless in the third while scoring two of their own making it 4-4 after three quarters. Sophomore attackman Drew Williamee scored two of his three goals in the fourth quarter moving the Braves into the lead. Braden Gioseffi added one more for Canandaigua, before Aidan Greco scored one more for the Eagles at 0:36.

RUSH-HENRIETTA-11 at VICTOR-17 - The first quarter started out somewhat even but a six-goal run in the second quarter gave the Blue Devils a lead that could not be overcome. Two of the top faceoff midfielders were at the X with Same Ricci (Victor) winning 16 and Mike Valent winning 13. Leading the scoring for Victor (3-1) were Jack Herendeen (3g-3a), Thomas Gravino (4g-1a), and Sam Gotham (4g). Senior defenseman Ryan Dodge scored his first Varsity goal in the game. The Blue Devils will host Niskayuna on Saturday afternoon.

THOMAS-7 at SPENCERPORT-12 - Thomas scored the first two goals, but the Rangers came back quickly to tie the game at 2-2. In the second quarter Spencerport started a run on seven unanswered goals to take a 9-3 lead with four and a half minutes left in the third quarter. Spencerport senior midfielder Cameron Mesh recorded his 300th faceoff wins with his 17 wins (312 wins total) in the game ending with 17+/4- = 81%. MIDLAKES-RED JACKET-5 at WATERLOO-6 - Waterloo overcame a three-goal deficit at the start of the contest and later scored four in a row to take the win from visiting Midlakes-Red Jacket in their season opener. Leading the scoring for Waterloo (2-1) were Rhylee Kierst (1g-2a), Justin Knowlton (1g-2a), Caden Shangraw (2g), and Garrett McDougal (1a).
