100 Years of Scholastic Lacrosse Here

This year, BLaxFive.NET is celebrating the start of scholastic lacrosse in 1922 when Geneva High School was the first team in the "area" to sponsor a scholastic team. During the preseason we have published stories about some of the noteworthy events of those early years and some more modern accomplishments. A list of the twenty-two stories is available here.

Many thanks to Dave Moore who wrote some great stories of the early days, and to the many names from the past who spent time to remanence.

Geneva will have a special celebration on May 14th when they host a rival from the early days, Corning.

There are only a few places in the country that can match our history in scholastic lacrosse, so  let’s all reflect and celebrate.
