With only his freshman year played at Wayne, attackman John Ecker has announced his commitment to play at Syracuse University after his graduation in 2017.
John finished last year with 10g-11a, scoring on forty percent of his shots on cage. He also won thirty-four of sixty-six face offs (51%) and picked up forty-six ground balls for the Eagles who finished their season with a 12-5 record.
Last summer, he played for the SweetLax Lacrosse Club in the Adrenaline Platinum Cup, Big 4, CrabFest and Sweetlax Invitation Tournaments and also played in the Maverick Showtime tournament.
Casey Vock noted one performance for the Inside Lacrosse web site where he said, "He's quick, has a strong shot and made contributions in each game."
Before making his commitment to Head Coach John Desko, Ecker considered Vermont, Hobart, Loyola and Fairfield.
