Corrigan Sports Enterprises and Under Armour, Inc. announced recently the players on the Upstate NY boys team who will play at the 2012 Under Armour Underclassmen Elite Stars Lacrosse Tournament. The Upstate Team includes players from Sections II (4 players), Section III (10 players), Section IV (4 players), Section V (5 players) and Section VI (1 player).

The players selected from Section Five were Charlie Cummins (Penfield - Defense), Nick Weston (Salisbury, Honeoye Falls - Midfield), Josh Swartzman (McQuaid Jesuit - Defense/FO), Jay Vakiener (Fairport - Midfield) and Nick Panara (Pittsford - D/LSM).

Coaching the team this summer are Head Coach Frank Welch from Ithaca and Assistant Coaches Bill Brennan from Silver Creek and Mike Gottko from Victor.

The games will be played from June 29 - July 1 at Johnny Unitas Stadium at Towson University (Towson, Md.). Over the three day tournament, ten teams will play in a number of games which will end on Sunday when the winner of each pool will face off for the championship.

Teams have been selected from Baltimore, Long Island, Midwest, New England, New Jersey, Philadelphia, South, Upstate New York, Washington, D.C., and West and consist of players from the graduating classes of 2013-15.
