Monday: McQuaid, Gananda and Whitman Win
Three games were played in the section today. Gananda beat Midlakes 14-1. Marcus Whitman beat Mynderse 19-9 and McQuaid Jesuit posted 26-6 against Bishop Kearney.

-- At tonight's 14-1 Gananda win over Midlakes the Blue Panthers held the Screaming Eagles scoreless in the first three quarters. Nine offensive Gananda players added points to the score book. Leading the way were attackman Ian Palmer (4g-1a), midfielder Trevor Schraffenberger (3g-2a), and midfielder Nick Rapp (1g-3a). The Blue Panthers picked up a total of 29 ground balls with Dylan Joy credited with 11 and Schraffenberger with 7. Goalie Steven Fisher played all four quarters in the cage and recorded 6 saves and 1 goal against.
Midlakes single goal occurred in the fourth quarter with Jake Hanson assisting Joshua Roeland. The Streaming Eagles' goalie Matt Brennessel played the entire game and recorded 13 saves and 14 goals against. Tomorrow Gananda plays Waterloo at Waterloo and Midlakes plays Batavia at Batavia.

-- Marcus Whitman beat Mynderse 19-9 at the last regular season game on their home field. Coach Teague reported that "Marcus Whitman scored the first goal tonight 49 seconds into the game and never trailed on 'Senior Night' in Rushville." Some of the Wildcat seniors have played since the very first third grade team and were surely proud to win their last home game. Leading the scoring for Marcus Whitman were Jeffrey Bero (4g-3a), Matt Hey (4g,1a), Clay Wilson (4g-1a) and Connor Kelly (3g,2a). Merritt Bailey played all four quarters in the goal recording 12 saves and 9 goals against.
Mynderse improved their play considerably in the second half but they were never able to catch up to the Wildcats. Tristin Kouwe (4g), Sean Anderson (4g) and Aaron Peterman (2a) led the Blue Devils' offense. Mynderse goalie Tim Trickler recorded 14 saves. Marcus Whitman will be hosted by Gananda and Mynderse will play at Midlakes on Thursday.

-- McQuaid Jesuit scored 26 goals while allowing Bishop Kearney only 6 in GRALL action in Brighton tonight. Twelve Knights made the scorebook. Leading the list were senior attackman Dave DeCocq (6g) and Joe Hanna (4g-1a).Senior goalie Pat Sheridan had a 73% in the game with 8 saves.
