The State poll is out and twelve Section Five teams continued to make the list sponsored by the New York State Sportswriters Association. Irondequoit tops the Section Five Class A teams again, moving from #9 to #5. Other Class A teams include Canandaigua (#14) and Schroeder (#15). Churchville-Chili, Fairport, Penfield and Webster Thomas made the honorable mention list.
  
In Class B, Geneva moved up from #7 to #5 and Eastridge and McQuaid Jesuit received an honorable mention. In Class C, Penn Yan remains in the 8th spot and Livonia takes an honorable mention.
  
The top spots in week three went to West Genesee (Section 3) in Class A, Huntington (Section 11) in Class B and Cold Springs Harbor (Section 8) in Class C.
