Andrew Mapstone to Lehigh
HF-L attackman Andrew Mapstone recently announced his intent to study and play lacrosse at Lehigh University.
Andrew is entering his junior season as the third leading scorer in HF-L school history with 169 points (85g-84a). A starter in attack since his freshmen year he has led his team in scoring during his first two years and his 105 points in 2016 ranked him fourth in scoring in all of Section Five. He is a two-time All-League selection, AGR Honorable Mention, and Section V Class D All-Tournament Team member in 2016.
In the off season he plays travel lacrosse for the SweetLax Club and Sweetlax National teams. He has played in the NLF Main Event, Big 4, Future Phenoms and NLF Elite Fall Invitational and a number of other tournaments.
The two-time NYSPHSAA Scholar Athlete and National Honor Society member considered Hobart, Loyola, Towson and Richmond before selecting Lehigh. Lehigh is an NCAA Davison I school that competes in the very competitive Patriot League and has won conference titles as recently as 2012 and 2013.
