Arber's Eight Goals Pace Bloomfield-Honeoye
BLOOMFIELD-HONEOYE-19 at GATES CHILI-7 - Bloomfield-Honeoye got eight goals and five assists from sophomore Brayden Arber Monday night in a 19-7 non-league win over Gates Chili, with eight different players finding the net for the visitors. Junior Braiden Schneider won 11 of 13 faceoffs (85%) and senior Brayden Butler added nine wins in 13 tries (69%).
For Bloomfield-Honeoye (8-7), Arber's big night was complemented by three goals and two assists each from Braiden Schneider and senior Brennan Thomas, and five assists from senior Caleb Beadnell. First career varsity goals went to sophomore defenseman Harrison DeLong, junior midfielder Garrett Goethals, and sophomore midfielder Caleb Wirth. Sophomore goalie Ashton Breeze made nine saves for a 56% efficiency rate.
For Gates Chili (2-13), junior Joshua Yakowitz scored two goals to reach the 50th career goal milestone, and sophomore Noah Truax added two goals and an assist. Senior Callaway Phommachanh contributed a goal and an assist, while sophomore Bryan Nguyen scored the first varsity goal of his career. First career varsity assists went to senior Jackson Stout and senior Cody Kosel.
