Corning Pulls Away with Eight Straight Goals

CORNING-14 at CANANDAIGUA-6  - Corning beat Canandaigua 14-6 Saturday afternoon in a non-league game, moving to 12-4. Corning scored eight consecutive goals spanning the first through third quarters to build an insurmountable lead. No stats were available for Corning at post-time. Canandaigua finishes their regular season at 6-10, as freshman Jack Dedrick recording his first career varsity assist.

For Canandaigua, AJ Sterman led with three goals, while Ryan McKeegan added two and Joel Lloyd scored one and added an assist. Peyton Fritz went 19 for 23 on faceoffs. In goal, senior Quentin Shedrick made six saves on 18 shots over 44 minutes.
Canandaigua scored four goals in the fourth quarter to close the gap but could not overcome the deficit.
