Coleman, Landon Fuel Wayne's Overtime Comeback
WAYNE-11 at HONEOYE FALLS-LIMA-10 - Wayne beat Honeoye Falls-Lima 11-10 in overtime Saturday morning in a non-league game, extending its winning streak to five and moving to 10-5. Trailing 10-8 with under two minutes left, Shane Coleman scored twice, including the tying goal with three seconds remaining before Paxton Landon won it in overtime. HF-L moves to 9-6 with one game left.
Landon led Wayne with four goals and three assists, while Coleman added three goals and an assist. Emmett Haak contributed two goals and an assist, and Wyatt Murray and Stone Sozio each scored one. In goal, freshman Gavin Hamel made 13 saves on 23 shots (57%) over 52 minutes.
For HF-L, Tanner Olin and Grady Goodberlet each scored three goals, with Goodberlet adding an assist. Jackson Coon added two goals and two assists, and Alexander Meisenzahl scored two goals and added an assist. In goal, Jason Bennett made 10 saves on 21 shots over 52 minutes.
HF-L hosts Mynderse-Romulus on Tuesday evening.
