Schweitzer's 5g Paces L-A-G as Coach Hits Milestone

WATERLOO-4 at LIVONIA-AVON-GENESEO-8  - Livonia-Avon-Geneseo beat Waterloo 8-4 Tuesday evening in a non-league game, moving to 9-5. The win was also the 25th career victory at L-A-G team for head coach Mark Rumfola. Rider VanZandt went 11 for 11 on faceoffs.

Eighth grader Owen Schweitzer led L-A-G with five goals, while sophomore Will Schweitzer added two goals and two assists. Stavros Kolokouris contributed two assists and Nikolai Hanna added one goal. In goal, senior Ayden Szymanski made eight saves on 12 shots (67%) over 48 minutes.

For Waterloo, Jaidyn Ellison scored two goals, and Trevor Trumble and Kyle Shangraw each added one. Walter Bennett distributed two assists and Nathan Disanto one. In goal, senior Dylan Acquilano made 10 saves on 18 shots (56%) over 48 minutes. Waterloo falls to 3-10.

L-A-G travels to Marcus Whitman on Wednesday. Waterloo hosts Gananda on Thursday.
