Auriuso's Seven Goals Lead Hilton Past F-M
HILTON-15 at FAYETTEVILLE-MANLIUS-7 - Hilton picked up a 15-7 non-league win at Fayetteville-Manlius on Tuesday afternoon in the first meeting between the two programs, scoring seven goals in the first quarter to build an early lead. The Cadets improve to 5-1 on the season.
For Hilton (5-1), junior Gianluca Auriuso led with seven goals, while senior Jack Palmer added three goals and three assists and senior Cahlan Smith contributed three goals. Sophomore Drew Brien chipped in one goal and four assists. Sophomore Lucas Grizzanti went 15-for-21 at the faceoff dot (71%) and junior Tyler Reger added two wins in three attempts (67%). Sophomore Brendan Maxwell stopped 10 shots for a 59% save percentage in 48 minutes.
For Fayetteville-Manlius (0-1), Thomas Porter led with three goals from the scoring table, while Henry Dougherty added one goal and three assists. Tyler Burns and Julian Karalunas and Caden Green each added one goal.
