Fourth-Quarter Rally Lifts Fairport Past Schroeder
FAIRPORT-9 at SCHROEDER-6 - Fairport picked up a 9-6 non-league win at Schroeder on Tuesday evening, rallying from a 4-3 deficit after three quarters with four goals in the fourth to pull away. The win extends Fairport's winning streak against Schroeder to seven straight in a series that now stands at 22-9.
For Fairport (3-3), senior Ryan Priddy and junior Carter Mitchell each led with two goals, while sophomore Marco Provenzano added two goals and one assist. Junior Cameron Duffy contributed one goal and two assists, and junior Liam Brunskill chipped in one goal. Sophomore Luke Temple stopped eight shots for a 57% save percentage in 48 minutes.
For Schroeder (2-6), junior JD Stockmann led with three goals, while freshman Owen Martin added two goals and junior Aiden Vollmer contributed one goal and one assist. Junior John Caricati picked up two assists and went 14-for-19 at the faceoff dot (74%), surpassing 300 career faceoff wins with 308 total.
