Joyce's Three Goals Lead Penfield in Loss at Garden City

2026-03-31 - PENFIELD-5 at GARDEN CITY-13 - Garden City handed Penfield a 13-5 non-league loss Tuesday, building an 8-1 halftime lead that included a run of eight straight goals. Penfield scored three of the final five goals in the fourth quarter but could not overcome the early deficit.

For Penfield (1-2), senior attackman Brodie Joyce led with three goals, including two in the fourth quarter, while sophomore midfielder Tyler Pavone added two goals. Junior attackman Griffin Banister contributed two assists and junior midfielder Harrison Easton added one. Senior goalie Mason Schembri stopped 18 shots for a 58% save percentage in 46 minutes.
