Victor ended their league season fourth in Finger Lakes Division I with a 0-6 record (7-11 overall). Seeded third in the Class B tournament, the Blue Devils lost to sixth seeded Eastridge in the first round. Victor moves this season from Finger Lakes to Monroe County, and joins Division II. 

Most games were predictable but there were a few unexpected scores as thirteen games were played on Thursday. Greece Athena/Odyssey beat Brighton 5-4, Geneva beat Penn Yan 8-6, Newark took Midlakes 9-7 and HFL was the winner over Rush-Henrietta 14-12.

Most of the games played today allowed teams to empty their benches. Among the winners were Churchville-Chili, Brockport, Thomas, Irondequoit, Gates Chili, HFL, Penfield, Schroeder and Newark Winning closer games were Victor (10-9) over Livonia, Midlakes over Mynderse (8-7) in overtime, Geneva over Corning West 15-12 and BH over Pal-Mac (8-7).

Nearly everyone was playing on Tuesday as fourteen games were played by Section Five teams. Batavia won their first ever Varsity games (15-10 over the Lightning), Brockport beat C-C (9-5) and Canandaigua beat Penn Yan in a close 5-4 game. McQuaid Jesuit, and Aquinas were GRALL winners and Pittsford, Gates Chili, Fairport, Penfield, R-H and Geneva had easy wins. Newark beat Pal-Mac 11-8, Mynderse took BH (11-9) and Waterloo was the 9-8 winner over Midlakes.

Aquinas was a 14-8 winner over Victor in a non-league game on Monday.

Aquinas was a 10-4 winner over Brighton and Canandaigua beat Victor 19-4 in the area, while Carthage beat Penn Yan (16-6) and Tully beat Waterloo (10-6) outside the area on Saturday.

There was lots of action on Thursday with many league games. Winners today included Irondequoit, Churchville-Chili, Fairport, Penfield, Haverling, Victor, Canandaigua, Geneva, Penn Yan Athena/Odyssey, Thomas, and McQuaid Jesuit, who won in Buffalo against St. Francis. Close games included Eastridge over Brighton (6-5) and Penfield over Schroeder.

Monroe County and Finger Lakes opened their league seasons with a double-header at McAvoy Park. Victor was the 13-6 winner in the first game and Hilton was the 6-5 winner over Eastridge in the second game.

Victor, Geneva and Penn Yan had overwhelming victories today, while Midlakes won a most closely contested game against Haverling.

Wednesday ’s contests were all Finger Lakes cross-over games and ones that went to running time as Penn Yan, Canandaigua, Victor and Geneva were all victorious.

Four games were scheduled, but two were interrupted by lighting strikes in the area. The three winners were Victor, Midlakes and Newark.

Both Schroeder and Thomas were winners in games played today. The Warriors beat Amherst (Section 6) 10-4 and the Titans beat Fairport 13-12 in a game full of momentum swings. Other winners included Livonia, McQuaid Jesuit, Brighton, Churchville-Chili, Geneva and Canandaigua.

There were a number of big games played under wet conditions on Thursday. Penfield avenged an earlier loss to Fairport in a Monroe County game and Penn Yan used two over time periods to beat Canandaigua in Finger Lakes play. Schroeder was a one goal winner against Rush Henrietta and HFL won a big Class B win against Brighton.

Eastridge scored three goals in the fourth to win a 9-7 victory over Spencerport, while the rest of the games posted scores that were not as close.

For the most part it was cross-over day in Section Five. McQuaid Jesuit lost to St. Francis of Buffalo and Rush-Henrietta beat visiting Livonia. The rest of the games were league games with non-divisional teams.

Rush-Henrietta wins in overtime, Fairport's comes back in the second half to beat Pittsford and Penfield remains undefeated. 

It was a full day of lacrosse under cloudy but warm skies. Fairport won a close game against vi sting Irondequoit, and Gates has a one goal victory in the battle of the Chilis. Hilton won in overtime, but there were a number of blowouts as Canandaigua, Penn Yan, Geneva and Penfield each had easy wins.

It was all it was cracked up to be. Two good teams fighting it out, each needing a win, but with only team able to come out on top. Today it was Penn Yan over host Fairport 10-8 an a game that went right down to the wire.

It is vacation week in Section Five and numerous non-league and make up games have been scheduled throughout the week. 

Penfield in their second tough game this week beat Fairport in a close one, Pittsford beat Rush-Henrietta in overtime and Schroeder won the bragging rights in Webster on another cool and sunny afternoon. 

Cold but sunny afternoon skies prevailed for ten afternoon and 3 night games in Section Five. 

Only one game was played on Monday, and Victor was the winner with a 10-7 game at Aquinas. Victor held the lead each quarter, starting with a 3-1 first quarter and a 4-2 half. Junior midfielder Erick Rogemoser (3g-2a) was the leader for the Blue Devils followed by senior middie Kyle Sullivan (1g-3a), senior attackman Cory Benulis (3g), sophomore middie Eric Willman (2g) and freshman attackman Tom Rogemoser (1g).
