Pittsford enters the 2026 season following a strong 13-4 campaign and returns asubstantial portion of its offensive production.

The Section V Lacrosse leadership has selected first, second and honorable mention lists of All-Section players. The 2025 first team lists fifteen players and includes the six All-Americans previously announced.

There were thirty-five teams playing in Section V. Bishop Kearney played nine games, and for the first time since their return, played in the quarterfinals of the Class D tournament. 

The Monroe County coaches met for their end of the year meeting and gave out 167 awards to their players.

*+The Head Coaches of Section V considered players who had been nominated for All-American and All-Academic awards.

Pittsford defeated Thomas 13-9 in a non-league matchup at Sutherland. Avery Valenti led Pittsford's scoring with three goals and one assist, while Thomas was paced by Brett Mersdorf and Lucas Estelle, each with two goals and one assist. Goalie Bear Wehrheim made seven saves for Pittsford. Junior Peter Roussell reached 200 career faceoff wins, securing 15 in the game. Both teams will return to action on Wednesday.

[UPDATED] As the 2025 lacrosse season approaches, the Pittsford Boys Lacrosse team, led by seasoned Head Coach Andrew Whipple, gears up for another competitive year, but instead of playing in Class A, this year they will play in Class B. With a record of 237-112 over 21 seasons, Coach Whipple brings a wealth of experience and leadership to the table.
