The Greece Thunder was a one goal winner over Brockport in the closest game of the day. Irondequoit had a 13-7 win over Penfield and Wayne took Waterloo.

There were interesting games today and two of the more interesting were won by one goal. Thomas beat Fairport 12-11 and Penfield beat Penn Yan 9-8. Churchville-Chili defeated HFL 16-13 and Irondequoit defeated Brighton 10-7.

The Panthers played a close game with Orchard Park (Section VI) for much of the first quarter, but after a 3-3 tie, they never looked back, holding the Quakers to 1 goal in the second half while scoring seven of their own.

With the start of the NCCA tournament this week, we thought it might be interesting to see how many alumni for Section Five were on teams that made the three divisions in the 2017 tournament.
