DAY IN REVIEW: THURSDAY - Thursday's standout moments came from two program milestones: Spencerport's Zach Tortora broke the school's all-time career goals record with a seven-goal performance in a 10-5 win over Horseheads, while Aquinas's Jake Gibson set the school record for career saves with his 575th despite a 14-3 loss to Horseheads at SpencerportMcQuaid. In that game, McQuaid's Domenic Giangreco also surpassed 600 career faceoff wins. Brockport's Ryan Miller posted seven goals and reached 50 career assists in a 16-6 win over Bloomfield-Honeoye, and Jordan Elbridge handled Newark 18-6 in the day's other action.

MCQUAID JESUIT-14 at AQUINAS-3 - McQuaid Jesuit handed Aquinas its second loss of the season 14-3 on Thursday evening at Aquinas, extending its winning streak in the series to eight straight. Despite the loss, Aquinas senior Jake Gibson set the school record for career saves, recording his 575th to surpass the previous mark of 569.

For McQuaid Jesuit (2-1), senior Joe DiMarco led with five goals, while junior John Burrows added four goals and four assists and sophomore Dominic Bianchi contributed two goals and one assist. Sophomore Dominic Camarella added two goals and junior Jeb Bogdan added one goal, with both scoring their first varsity goals. Three players also picked up their first varsity Horseheads at Spencerportassists: senior Hudson Proia, sophomore Bryce Pitt, and freshman Maddox Felton. Senior Domenic Giangreco went nine-for-10 at the faceoff X (90%), surpassing 600 career faceoff wins with 603 total. Junior Jackson Paladino stopped 13 shots for an 87% save percentage in 41 minutes.

HORSEHEADS-5 at SPENCERPORT-10 - Spencerport stayed unbeaten with a 10-5 non-league win over Horseheads on Thursday evening at home, with senior Zach Tortora breaking the program's all-time career goals record in the process. Tortora Mynderse at Penn Yansurpassed former All-American Matt Kaiser's mark of 154 with a seven-goal performance, pushing his career total past the record. Spencerport built a 7-0 lead through three quarters before Horseheads scored four goals in under two minutes to open the fourth.

For Spencerport (4-0), Tortora led with seven goals and two assists, while eighth-grader Maddox Harding added two goals and sophomore Gavin Brown chipped in one goal and one assist. BLOOMFIELD-HONEOYE-6 at BROCKPORT-16 - Brockport picked up its second win of the season with a 16-6 non-league victory over Bloomfield-Honeoye on Thursday evening at home, building a 7-3 halftime lead and outscoring the visitors 9-3 over the final two quarters. The win gives Brockport its first victory over Bloomfield-Mynderse at Penn YanHoneoye in five meetings.

For Brockport (2-0), senior Ryan Miller led with seven goals and one assist, reaching 50 career varsity assists in the process with 51 total. Senior Tyler Davis added two goals and three assists, sophomore Nico Cenname contributed two goals and one assist, and senior Jaxon Ophardt chipped in three goals. Freshman Owen Perkins stopped 12 shots for a 67% save percentage in 44 minutes.

For Bloomfield-Honeoye (2-1), junior Braiden Schneider led with three goals, while freshman Liam Whiting added one goal and three assists. Senior Brayden Butler and sophomore Brayden Arber each added one goal. DAY IN REVIEW: TUESDAY - It was Aquinas over Gananda in the only game played in the very cold weather today. Four other games were postponed or cancelled.

GANANDA-0 at AQUINAS-13 - Aquinas scored 13 goals without reply Tuesday evening at home, with three freshmen leading the way in a non-league win over Gananda. The Little Irish improve to 3-1.

For Aquinas (3-1), freshman Parker Wegman led with four goals and three assists, and freshman Chase Acker matched him with four goals and two assists. Freshman Kellan Campe added three goals and one assist, and senior Jack Bell chipped in one goal and one assist. Freshman Tristan Wegman scored his first varsity goal. Four players picked up their first varsity assists: Acker, junior Kyson Sellars, sophomore Antonio Valerie, and Connor Williams. # 4075  Wegman's 7 Goals, Valenti's 6 Highlight Busy Tuesday

DAY IN REVIEW: TUESDAY -  Tuesday's boys lacrosse action featured big individual performances at both ends of the state. Aquinas freshman Parker Wegman posted seven goals in a 16-3 win at Newark, while Pittsford's Avery Valenti added six goals and two assists in a 20-10 win over Irondequoit that handed the Eagles their first loss of the season. In a pair of road games against out-of-section opponents, Penfield fell 13-5 at Garden City despite 18 saves from Mason Schembri, and Victor dropped a 9-8 decision at St. Thomas Aquinas in Florida despite two goals and three assists from Jackson Mead, with St. AQ at NewarkThomas Aquinas scoring the go-ahead goal with just over 11 minutes left in the fourth quarter. Thomas also picked up a 16-10 win at Baldwinsville, though no statistics were available at post-time. 

PITTSFORD-20 at IRONDEQUOIT-10 - Pittsford handed Irondequoit its first loss of the season Tuesday afternoon, winning 20-10 in a non-league game at Irondequoit. The Panthers jumped out to a 13-6 halftime lead and pulled away with six more goals in the third quarter. Nine different players scored goals for Pittsford.

For Pittsford (3-0), senior midfielder Avery Valenti led the way with six goals and two assists, while junior Grant Lewis added four goals and three assists and Max Morgenstern chipped in three goals. Trevor Nally contributed two goals and two assists, and Cole Goetz added one goal and three assists. Sophomore Luke Jutzin scored his first varsity goal and senior Doug Blalock recorded his first varsity assist. Freshman Keegan Jacob went 14-for-17 at the faceoff dot (82%), and senior Peter Roussell added eight wins in 13 attempts (62%).

For Irondequoit (2-1), sophomore Kieran Stenzel led with four goals, while senior Cooper Moore added three goals and one assist and senior Colin Giudice contributed two goals. Senior Dylan Carey picked up two assists and Hank Velepec added one goal and one assist. AQUINAS-16 at NEWARK-3 - Aquinas picked up a 16-3 non-league win at Newark on Tuesday morning, scoring 10 goals in the first quarter and holding the Reds to two goals over the middle two quarters. Eight different players scored for Aquinas, and the win extends the Little Irish's all-time record against Newark to 10-0.

For Aquinas (1-1), freshman attackman Parker Wegman led with seven goals and one assist, while senior Jack Bell contributed four assists and senior midfielder Cam Stewart added one goal and two assists. Connor Williams chipped in two goals and one assist, and Kellan Campe added two goals. Four players scored their first varsity goals: Stewart, sophomore Bryce Miller, sophomore Antonio Valerie, and junior Nolan O'Brocta. Four players also picked up their first varsity assists: Stewart, Miller, freshman Parker Wegman, and sophomore Connor Williams. Miller also went 16-for-18 at the faceoff dot (89%), and junior Mike Martell added four wins in five attempts (80%). Three goalies combined in net, with senior Jake Gibson stopping six shots for 75%, senior Logan Schimmel stopping two for 67%, and junior Phil Wegman stopping one for 100%.

For Penfield (1-2), senior attackman Brodie Joyce led with three goals, including two in the fourth quarter, while sophomore midfielder Tyler Pavone added two goals. Junior attackman Griffin Banister contributed two assists and junior midfielder Harrison Easton added one. Senior goalie Mason Schembri stopped 18 shots for a 58% save percentage in 46 minutes. VICTOR-8 at ST. THOMAS AQUINAS-9 - Victor dropped a tight 9-8 non-league decision at St. Thomas Aquinas on Tuesday night in Florida, with the lead changing hands multiple times. The Knights rallied to tie the game three times before St. Thomas Aquinas scored with 11:26 left in the fourth quarter to take the lead for good, with Victor getting one back from Eli Ricci at 9:15 but unable to complete the comeback.

For Victor (2-1), junior attackman Jackson Mead led with two goals and three assists, while senior midfielder Colin Wheeler, senior midfielder Gage Hay, and sophomore Eli Ricci each added two goals. Junior Matthew Herendeen contributed one assist. Ricci also went 14-for-20 at the faceoff dot (70%). Junior goalie Will Simpson stopped nine shots for a 50% save percentage in 48 minutes.
