Sweetlax Welcomes new Players
Sweetlax Lacrosse, a National leader in player College placement is happy to welcome a number of new players to the program. "We've just completed our most successful tryouts to date with every one of our teams accepting new players" said Chelsea Henderson, the head of Sweetlax Operations, "we're particularly pleased with our Youth teams where the competition for roster spots will insure very strong teams".
Sweetlax Lacrosse is an elite lacrosse program that fields one team per graduation year and whose focus is assisting players with College placement. "The process starts earlier and earlier each year" commented Kevin Martin, Sweetlax's Recruiting Coordinator, "we've had some 2020's commit already so getting our younger guys playing together at the Youth level insures they'll be ready when getting on College Coach's radars". Stressing that it is more than just on field performance Coach Martin added, "It is important for these players to succeed in the classroom as well. We network with every College offering lacrosse at all divisions and find all Coaches have an equal focus on a student athlete's grades". A July 2016 SportsFive article lists 20 local schools that made the NYS Scholars list helping Section 5 to an above average player College placement.
Sweetlax has teams from the grad year 2025 to 2018's with players coming from throughout Upstate NY including Victor, Pittsford, Canandaigua, Fairport, Penfield, Webster, Brighton, Penn Yan, Spencerport, Greece, as well as Onondaga, Akwesasne , Kahnawake and other areas. Their entire 2017 class will be playing lacrosse at the collegiate level (attending schools include Syracuse, Duke, Loyola, Colgate, Penn State, Hobart, University at Albany and Le Moyne, Mercyhurst and Boston University).
