Gravino, Platten and Nolan make first Team All-State
The New York State Sportswriters Association, posted their 2022 All-State lacrosse teams today with twenty Section V players included on the lists. There are two divisions: Large Schools (Classes A and B) and Small Schools (Classes C and D).
Making the list from Section V are:
LARGE SCHOOLS
- 1st Team - junior midfielder Thomas Gavino (Victor)
- 1st Team - senior defenseman Eric Platten (Canandaigua)
- 3rd Team - senior attackman Noah Gibson (Irondequoit)
- 3rd Team - senior midfielder Nick Hauman (Schroeder)
- 3rd Team - senior defenseman Eli Adams (Thomas)
- 5th Team - senior defenseman Bradu Comella (Canandaigua)
- 5th Team - senior defenseman Louis Germain (Victor)
- 6th Team - junior faceoff midfielder Sam Ricci (Victor)
- 7th Team - junior goalie Jack Faiola (Canandaigua)
- HM - junior attackman Pax Marshall (Victor)
- HM - senior midfielder Elliott Morgan (Canandaigua)
- HM - senior midfielder Kyle Gould (Fairport)
- HM - senior defenseman Charlie DeBiase (Pittsford)
SMALL SCHOOLS
- 1st Team - senior face off midfielder Quinn Nolan (Pal-Mac)
- 3rd Team - senior goalie Griffin Emerson (Penn Yan)
- 4th Team - senior attackman Jamie O`Neil (Haverling)
- 5th Team - senior attackman Curtis Denison (Geneva)
- 6th Team - senior midfielder Justin Skelly (Livonia-Avon)
- 6th Team - junior midfielder Jackson McEnerney (Livonia-Avon)
- HM - junior attackman Preston Steve (Newark)
The Class A Player of the Year is senior attackman Mike Leo (St. Anthony) and the Class B Player of the Year is senior defenseman Brendan Staub (Garden City). The Class C Player of the Year is senior attackman Joe Spallina (Mount Sinai and the Class D Player of the Year is senior defenseman Patrick Pisano (Cold Spring Harbor).
