Once again this year, SportsFive will publish, each week, rankings in each class. SportsFive will continue to publish the New York State Sportswriters poll and will provide links to the Laxpower national polls.

Play between Class A teams is now starting to sort out the list as they play head-to-head.

CLASS A
Fairport (11-1) won games against Schroeder and Eastridge last week and Thomas won their game with HFL.

Penfield moves up again this week with their (7-6) win in the last three minutes against Pittsford. Hilton remains in the 5th even after this week's 9-4 win over Pittsford. Churchville is in 6th and Brockport, who look like a team that will have a very good final record, moves into 7th place in the place of Schroeder.

Penfield will play Schroeder on Thursday and Thomas plays Pittsford on Tuesday and C-C on Thursday.

CLASS B
There are no changes in the Class be rankings this week except that we are dropping HFL from the HM list. Canandaigua (10-2) and Irondequoit (9-3) remain in the top two spots.

CA won their only game last week, against Mynderse. They play in the Game of the week on Tuesday, when they travel to Penn Yan. They beat the Mustangs earlier in the season. They play Midlakes on Thursday and Newark on Friday.

Irondequoit beat Victor and Schroeder last week and play Gates and HFL this week.

McQuaid Jesuit (7-9) beat HFL (9-5) and Livonia (8-7) and lost to Geneva (4-12) last week. They play Haverling on Tuesday and finish their regular season with the GRALL Championship at home on Friday.

Brighton won games against Brockport (8-6), Spencerport (12-8) and Batavia (20-5) last week and face ER and Brockport this week.

CLASS C
There is only one change in Class C as Geneva moves up to 4th and Haverling moves down to 5th as the result of their play against common opponents.

Penn Yan (12-1) won their three games last week including an exciting 11-10 overtime win against Hamburg on Saturday. Aquinas (12-3) beat Haverling and lost to Churchville-Chili last week. Livonia (10-5) lost to McQuaid Jesuit but had wins against Haverling (7-6) and Marcus Whitman. Geneva won three games including a 12-4 against McQuaid Jesuit. Livonia beat Haverling and Whitman but lost to McQuaid Jesuit (7-8). We add Pal-Mac this week. Their 10-3 record puts them in a posoition where they could be a "ten point team" at the end of the season, somthing that would really help Livonia in the seeding race. Their key game looks to be Geneva on Thursday.

Penn Yan has a big game with CA on Tuesday. The Mustangs lost in the first outing at Evans Field but this one is at home. They play Whitman on Thursday and Geneva on Saturday. Aquinas has Livonia on Tuesday, the GRALL Championship on Friday and Gates on Saturday. Livonia has Aquinas on Tuesday and GRALL on Friday and Haverling has McQuaid Jesuit on Tuesday and the GRALL on Friday.

Geneva has a big week, playing four games starting with Newark on Monday, Waterloo on Tuesday, Pal-Mac on Thursday and Penn Yan on Saturday.

GAMES THIS WEEK

With just two weeks left in the regular season, there are lots of games still left to play. On Tuesday, everyone plays (16 games), and on Thursday there are another 16 games

The "Game of the Week" looks like Canandaigua at Penn Yan. In the first game, played at CA on April 9th, the Braves dominated with a 15-5 win. A lot has happened since the early season and both teams have improved during the period. Penn Yan has a whole lot of pride riding on this one and the win will be important for whomever wins this one.

The GRALL lineup has not been announced yet (but we think AQ and McQ will be in the Championship), but it looks like the both games will be good ones to watch. The Livonia/Aquinas game on Tuesday could have an impact. The Class A rankings are looking at Penfield/Schroeder on Thursday.
