With the addition of new teams in Section Five, it's hard to recruit and find officials who are available after school.

Frank Mangione, President of the Western New York Lacrosse Officials Association, asked Section Five coaches to move 4:30 games to 5:00 whenever possible. Even though the Association has been able to bring on more than 15 new officials this season, most of them work in jobs that make it difficult to leave work for after school games.

For the last two years, Monroe County games during AP exam week have been played at 5:00 and the Coaches have found few problems with the later start.

Expect, therefore, to see many of your Team Schedule Sheets to undergo changes in the next few days.
