Semi Finals: Thomas Over Victor - Pittsford Over McQuaid

Saturday: DAY IN REVIEW: Just like yesterday, two top seeds won and two third seeds beat second seeds. Pittsford was down 9-3 before scoring six goals in the final quarter and forcing two overtime periods to defeating McQuaid 11-10. Thomas scored early and kept the Blue Devils behind on their way to a 10-7 win in Class B. Fairport came back from a 5-3 half, scoring seven goals in the third quarter to punch their championship ticket with an 11-6 win over Hilton. Canandaigua scored six unanswered goals in the first half and finished 8-3 over Penfield. Full Story

Pal-Mac Over Whitman - HF-L Over Geneva

Friday: DAY IN REVIEW: The Class C and D semifinals have been played and the Championship matchup are set. Pal-Mac (#4) took out Marcus Whitman (#2) and Honeoye Falls-Lima (#3) took out Geneva (#2), but the top seeds won their games. Penn Yan (#1) defeated Haverling (#4) and Livonia-Avon (#1) defeated Wayne (#4). On Monday it will be Pal-Mac at Penn Yan and HF-L at Livonia-Avon for the brick. Full Story

Quarter Finals: From Thirty-One to Sixteen

Wednesday: DAY IN REVIEW: The quarter finals were played today, and there were fourteen winners and fourteen teams that ended their seasons. Following the season trend, almost all were mismatches with only the Irondequoit at Thomas game close, for most of the game. As expected, all the higher seeded teams won today and the top four seeded teams are now set for the semifinals. Full Story

The Tournament Begins: Thirty-One Left

Monday: DAY IN REVIEW: The 2021 tournaments opened today in the out-bracket rounds for Classes B and D and all of the higher seeded teams wonat home. Irondequoit beat Brockport, Schroeder beat Churchville-Chili, Brighton beat Gates Chili and Mynderse beat Waterloo. Full Story

2021 Tournament Seeding Released

The Brackets for the 2021 are now available on the brackets page.

In Class A, Fairport takes the top seed, with McQuaid second. Pittsford is third and Hilton takes the fourth place. In Class B, Canandaigua takes the top position with Victor second, Thomas third and Penfield fourth. In Class C, Livonia-Avon is first, Geneva is second, Honeoye Falls-Lima is third and Wayne is fourth. In  Class D, Penn Yan takes top honors, with Marcus Whitman in second, Pal-Mac in third and Haverling in fourth. Week In Review - Week 6

There were thirty-nine games played last week and although there were some exciting ones there continued to be a large number of mismatches. With travel concerns this season there are only ten out of section games scheduled and they all have been played. Section Five has won eight. Full Story

Saturday: DAY IN REVIEW: It was the last day in the regular season and six games were played. It was Canandaigua over Penn Yan 9-3 and so for 2021 there are no undefeated teams. Gananda travelled to Medina for a 19-12 win. HF-L had a 14-10 win against Schroeder and Hilton surprised Spencerport with a 13-12 win. Tournament seeding will take place late Saturday or early Sunday. Full Story

Thomas Takes McQuaid Jesuit

Friday: DAY IN REVIEW: Six games were played on the last Friday of the regular season and there were some good ones. Webster Thomas broke out in the second quarter, led 7-5 at the half and won 12-8 over McQuaid Jesuit. Newark scored five goals in each half and fought off a surge by Gananda to win 10-8. Brockport goalie Antonio DiEngeniis made 14s/6ga (70%) to help the Blue Devils beat Gates Chili 9-6 tonight. Other winners were Victor, Rush-Henrietta and Mynderse. Full Story

Geneva Over Wayne

Thursday: DAY IN REVIEW: More teams finished their regular season today and although most games were mismatches once again, the Geneva at Wayne game provided some excitement as the Panther won 10-7. NOTE: Long time Genesee Valley Lacrosse Officials Association member, Bob Mentz was met after his assigned game at Wayne tonight by a large group of friends and fellow officials as he was told that he will be inducted into the USA Lacrosse Rochester Chapter Hall of Fame this fall. Wednesday: DAY IN REVIEW: Four more teams joined Batavia and BK as they finished the regular season today. Churchville-Chili, Greece, Pittsford, and Penfield finished and will wait for tournament seeding on Sunday. Irondequoit won a close one with Churchville-Chili. Victor won a close one with Pittsford and Brockport won a close one with East United-Eastridge. Full Story

Spencerport over McQuaid - Geneva Tops Pal-Mac

Tuesday: DAY IN REVIEW: There were eight games played today and the smallest margin was when Geneva beat Pal-Mac 6-4. Penn Yan defeated Marcus Whitman 10-3 and Spencerport beat McQuaid Jesuit 9-5. Other winners today were Newark, Bishop Kearney, Aquinas, East United-Eastridge and Gananda. Full Story

St. Joe Takes Close one from Fairport

Sunday: DAY IN REVIEW: Fairport travelled west to Buffalo to play St. Joseph at noon today and lost in spite of a fourth quarter surge. St. Joe came out first with two unanswered first quarter goals. They scored four more before the half but allowed Fairport to scored three. Returning at 6-3 after the half the Marauders scored three more while the Red Raiders scored two to make the score 9-5. Fairport roared back with four goals, but The Marauders scored one and that was the difference. Rob Crowley led the scoring for Fairport with 4g. [BOX SCORE] Full Story

Saturday: DAY IN REVIEW: There were just three games in the section today. Livonia beat Wayne despite a strong comeback. McQuaid Jesuit beat Webster Schroeder and Bloomfield-Honeoye was a 14-3 winner over Batavia. Full Story

Victor Takes Thomas to Remain Undefeated

Friday: DAY IN REVIEW: In another exciting game, Victor beat Thomas with three goals in the last quarter to remain undefeated with the 9-6 victory at home. Pittsford beat Irondequoit 8-6 with four unanswered goals in the fourth quarter. Four extra goals in the first quarter gave HF-L the win over Rush-Henrietta.Pittsford at post time. Haverling Takes Pal-Mac 10-9

Thursday: DAY IN REVIEW: The game of the night was Haverling at Pal-Mac where the teams were tied eight times. Haverling broke the last tie when Ezra Hoad scored the winning goal giving the Rams a 10-9 win. Drew Smith score four goals in the fourth quarter including the game winner to give Gananda the 9-8 win over Midlakes-Red Jacket. Full Story

Wednesday: DAY IN REVIEW: The only game that was close today was the one the everyone was talking about all season, as two undefeated teams met and only one would continue with the possibility of a perfect season. In the end, Webster Thomas scored four goals in the final quarter to score a 7-5 victory over Canandaigua. Full Story

Tuesday: DAY IN REVIEW: Bloomfield-Honeoye scored four goals in the second quarter on their way to a 6-5 win over visiting Mynderse. Pal-Mac scored seven goals in the third quarter to beat Livonia-Avon 13-10 on the senior night in Avon. Haverling scored seven goals in the second quarter on their way to a 15-10 win over Geneva. Gates Chili over Gananda in OT - CA tops McQ

Monday: DAY IN REVIEW: Senior attackman Brady Knauf scored the last of his 5g-1a in the second overtime period to give Gates Chili a 12-11 win at Gananda tonight. Meanwhile, in Canandaigua defense was the name of the game as the Braves defeated McQuaid Jesuit 4-1. The other seven games were mismatches in which the winners outscore their opponents 105-24.
