Brandon Thomsonand Kyle Stanney will attend Mercyhurst College (D-2), Adam Fingar has selected Hartford (D-1) and Deven Alveswill be off to UMBC (University Maryland Baltimore County) (D-1). Three Pittsford Varsity lacrosse players have signed National Letters of Intent to play lacrosse at college next fall. This year's contest, featuring some of the best of the graduating seniors will be held on Saturday, July 11th at Victor High School. Fairport lost to Garden City in 1986 in Class A; Irondequoit lost to Yorktown in 1993 in Class B; and Penn Yan lost to Manhasset in 2004. Tuesday: Section Five Wins Two in NYS Quarter Finals |

Section Five won two out of three as Penn Yan beat Silver Creek 17-6 and Canandaigua beat Hamburg 17-3. Webster Thomas fell to Orchard Park in the Class A game 22-10. In the three games, the combined scores were 61-19. Two of the games went into running time, with the third (Penn Yan) being decided with an 11 goal differential. Full Story |
