Four Players Make Top 50 Players for National Team

Fairport rising junior Kyle McAvoy recently announced his commitment to study and play lacrosse for Siena College (Loudonville, New York) after his graduation in 2017. Full Story

Victor Sophomore Mitchell Cain Picks Loyola

Mitchell Cain, a rising sophomore from Victor, announced his commitment to the Loyola Lacrosse program after his graduation in 2018. A middie who, in the off season he plays for the SweetLax Lacrosse Club played with them in the Big4, Young Guns, Sweetlax Invitational and the Liberty Bell Challenge. He is also a member the Sweetlax 2018 National Team. Full Story

Sweetlax Freshman Take Inside Lacrosse Invitational

The Sweetlax Lacrosse Club sent a rising freshman team to the Inside Lacrosse Invitational Recruiting Tournament where they went 6-0 and took first place. The tournament, held at Goucher College (Baltimore, MD), was held from July 20-22. Sweetlax outscored opponents 75-25, allowed no more than seven goals against. The closed game, against FLG 2019 was 9-5. Full Story

Catching Up on Summer Events

Fairport Head Coach Mike Torrelli and Pittsford rising junior midfielderColby Barker were invited to participate in the "Nike Ride" and elite showcase for fifty top players. In its third year it features "the nation’s top lacrosse athletes squaring off during a week of unparalleled competition, training and mentorship. Over the four days they were treated to the best of Nike, learned from guest speakers that included the Thompson brothers and played games near the Nike headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon. Full Story
