Peter Schwab, a Penfield junior midfielder, has announced his commitment to attend and play lacrosse for the University of Albany Peter played on the Penfield Patriots Varsity team last year as a sophomore. He came on strong at the end of the season totaling ten goals and eleven assists, with four points in the sectional final. Last season he was named to the Section Five All Tournament Team.   The Greater Rochester Chapter of US Lacrosse will be offering the Level TWO Clinic on January 10, 2016 at Sutherland High School. The clinic, which is part of the program leading to certification, will be available for both the men`s and the women`s game. The local chapter will subsidize half of the cost. Local coaches will pay $47.50 for Level 2 and $37.50 for Level 1. Full Story

Section V lacrosse lost a team during the season (Avon) to low numbers and injuries so the Section ended the season with thirty-five team. The session ended with just under 1, 500 Varsity boys playing. The good news is that Avon hopes to be back for the 216 season. Full Story
