Gananda took their first lead of the game with 7:22 remaining in the fourth quarter and then held off the advances of Wayne to defeat the Screaming Eagles 9-8. Thunder in One Goal Win Over Gates |

In a game where the score was never more than two goals apart, Greece Athena/Odyssey defeated Gates Chili 13-12. The Thunder scored the final goal with only 0:10 left in regulation. Sophomore midfielder Zack Gibaud scored his fourth goal of the game for the win. Over the past ten years, this is only the third time that Greece has defeated Gates Chili who have won twelve. The Blue Devils kept up heavy pressure in third quarter as they took the lead twice, but could not hold on in the final quarter. Livonia took the game into overtime to defeat Aquinas 5-4. The Bulldogs got their sixth win in the past ten years over the Little Irish (20 wins). Holding Aquinas to only four goals is the strongest defensive performance in the records. Livonia used two, two-goal runs to secure the win. One was in the first and one was in the third. Head Coach Dan James recently announced that McQuaid Jesuit Senior midfielder Jared Calderon will continue his studies and play lacrosse at SUNY Geneseo. A third year varsity player for the Jesuit Knights, Calderon made the early decision to join Coach Jim Lyons and the Geneseo Knights in December joining a squad comprised of nine other Section Five alums and the first from McQuaid.
