Geneva Takes Gananda

NOTES: Jason Feinberg scored his 100th career goal for Geneva in their 11-9 win over Gananda. The Blue Panthers played a strong first 24 minutes before having a difficult second half. Gananda led 4-1 at the half and extended their lead to 5-1 with the opening goal of the third quarter. They were then held to only a single goal of the next eleven. By the final three minutes of the contest the Panthers held an 11-6 lead. Gananda scored the final three goals to make the score closer. Full Story

Overtime Win for Waterloo over B-H

Waterloo won their second back to back one goal game of the season with a 7-6 overtime victory over Bloomfield-Honeoye. Last week the Indians defeated Midlakes 7-6. Waterloo was led in scoring by Kyle Lotz with 1g-2a and Adam Jensen with 3g-1a. The Pride was led by Jon Marble with 3g. Full Story

C-C Over Hilton in Overtime

Churchville-Chili remains one of five undefeated teams in Section Five with their overtime win over Hilton, 13-12. The Cadets led for most of the game before Churchville-Chili took control in the fourth quarter. With an exception of two minutes in the first quarter, Hilton led or tied for the first 38 minutes. Hilton scored the first two goals in under two minutes with goals from Hunter Duford and Zeus Doser. Full Story

In out of section play, Jamesville-Dewitt (Section III) defeated Fairport 8-5 to remain undefeated this season. This was the first game this season where the Rams were held under 10 points and only the second time they did not defeat their opponents by at least 9. Only three Rams made the scorebook with Griffin Cook and Ryan Archer scoring three goals apiece and Andrew Barclay adding one (one goal was unattributed).  Full Story

Schroeder Beats Spencerport 10-8

Three man-up goals during a non-releasable penalty gave Schroeder a three goal lead late in the second quarter and that was enough to hold off Spencerport`s late advance. The Warriors won 10-8 over the Rangers. The game was neck and neck before the scoring streak. Both teams alternated scoring in the first and early second quarters with Spencerport holding a 3-2 lead with 5:56 remaining in the second quarter.  Full Story

Penn Yan 9 - Canandaigua 5

NOTES: After a 2-2 tie in the first Penn Yan had two 3-1 quarters on their way to the 9-6 win. In the history since 2003, Canandaigua is ahead 11 wins to ten. Junior attackman Devin Andrew led the offense for the Braves with 4g while senior midfielder Austin Fingar led the offense for the Mustangs with 3g-1a. Next up for Penn Yan is Penfield on Thursday. Saturday: Churchville-Chili Over Hilton in Overtime

After a close game throughout, the Saints took control at the end of the game and defeated Hilton at the very end of the first overtime period. Pittsford remained undefeated with an 11-7 win over Cazenovia. Full Story

Help Canandaigua Alum Fight Brain Cancer

Mike Pane, a member of the CA class of 2004 and former Head Coach at Gananda is, once again, fighting for his life against brain cancer. After beating the cancer in 2010, Mike was the first coach at Gananda and took them from a 2-13 record in their first year to 12-6 record in 2012 and 13-4 in 2013. Full Story

Friday: Penn Yan over Canandaigua, R-H over Lightning 4-3

Penn Yan played a close game for the first half and then took off in the second half, defeating CA 9-5. Meanwhile, Penfield took Orchard Park 14-4 and R-H edged out Greece Lightning 4-3. Batavia used even scoring in their 10-7 win over UPrep. Full Story

Livonia scored three of the last four goals, including the game winning goal in overtime, to defeat Rush-Henrietta 9-8. Senior attackman Nick Kallio scored the game winning goal 2:02 into the first overtime period with an assist from Reid Mattle. Kallio finished the game with 3g for the Bulldogs.  Full Story

Irondequoit has a 15-9 win over visiting Ithaca while Livonia used a last minute flurry to take Rush-Henrietta in overtime. Waterloo and Midlakes played a close game, but the Indians held on to their one goal lead for the win. Full Story

Wayne Overtime Win vs Gananda

Wayne remained undefeated with an overtime win against Gananda, 15-14. The Blue Panthers trailed by three with less than two minutes on the clock before forcing overtime with 0:02 remaining. The Screaming Eagles, who led from the third quarter on, scored the gaming winning goal with 2:32 remaining in the first overtime period. Cooper Pieroni scored his sixth goal of the game for Wayne. Wednesday: Wayne Takes Gananda in Overtime

In a close game throughout, Gananda scored three goals in under a minute and a half to force overtime, where Wayne senior midfielder Cooper Pieroni scored the winning goal on a feed from Jack Camp to give the Eagles a 15-14 win. Avon defeated UPrep 17-10. Full Story
