In a close match-up Fairport defeated Webster Schroeder 4-3. The Red Raiders took their final lead with 5:01 left in fourth quarter. The game started off slowly with only one goal for each team in the first half. Schroeder scored first to take the initial lead with Matthew Montgomery assisting Conor Bollin. Their lead held for four minutes before Fairport tied the game with Spencer Bell scoring (assisted by Michael Modesti). The 1-1 tie held for sixteen minutes until well into the third quarter. Gananda dedicated their game with Mynderse today to former Head Coach Mike Pane. Donations and other fund raising projects are underway to help Coach Pane as he fights a second battle against brain cancer. Full Story |
Aquinas Defeats Canisius |

Aquinas scored the first two goals, and although the score was tied, the Little Irish never trailed in their 5-3 win over Canisius. After a 12-11 overtime win the first time the two teams played, they both came into tonight with high expectations. The first quarter was a hard fought defensive battle which had Aquinas taking 5 shots at goal and Canisius taking 4 shots. Senior Bryce Kelly had two saves shutting out the Crusaders. The quarter ended at 0-0. |

Gananda Game to Raise Funds for Coach Pane |

The Gananda Varsity Boys Lacrosse team has dedicated their home game on Monday, May 2nd to former Coach Mike Pane`s recovery. Pane, a member of the Canandaigua class of 2004, was the first coach at Gananda and took them from a 2-13 record in their inaugural year to 12-6 record in 2012 and 13-4 in 2013. Full Story |

After a close half, Spencerport pulled away in the third and fourth quarters before Brighton forced overtime with the last five goals in regulation. For the third year in a row, Penfield defeated Penn Yan. With their 9-8 win today, the Patriots now hold a 4-3 lead in the series, which stretches back to their first meeting in 2010. The Mustangs scored the first goal of the game and held the lead for 40 seconds before Penfield tied the game 1-1. Penfield scored six of the next seven goals to take control of the game. Thomas in a One Goal Win Over Fairport |

In a game that was never more than two goals apart, Thomas scored two of the last three goals to defeat Fairport 12-11. Both teams had opportunities to lead throughout the game. Thomas moves the series to 12-6 in Fairport's favor. The Titans have defeated the Red Raiders two years in a row with last season's 11-10 overtime win against them. Full Story |
Churchville-Chili 16 - HF-L 13 |

Churchville-Chili scored three of the last four to secure the 16-13 win over HF-L and at 8-0 remains one of only four undefeated teams left in the section. The Saints played strong in the beginning and end of the game but, in what has become a pattern, they could not pull away from their opponents and allowed HF-L to stay in the game well into the second half. Lacrosse Magazine, a program of US Lacrosse, recently released its Nike/LM Boys` National Top 25 list and at the top is the team from Victor. Last week the Blue Devils (now 7-0) were in the number two spot but moved ahead of Calvert Hall (Maryland) who lost to Boys1 Latin last week. Full Story |
