Friday: DAY IN REVIEW: Only the Hilton vs Williamsville East game was originally scheduled for Friday, but there were two additions today. Hilton was a 13-3 winner over Williamsville East with ten players making the offensive book, led by Zach Boyatizies, Michael Galante, Tyler Hacker and Ben Mitrano who each scored three points. Jacob Keley made 7s (70%) for Hilton (11-4_ who will finish their regular season with Irondequoit on Tuesday. Full Story

Thomas scored the first six goals in their 11-10 win over Churchville-Chili.  Although the Titans led by six twice during the contest, the Saints kept the game interesting in the fourth.  Churchville-Chili came within one goal twice in the final quarter, but could not tie the game.  Their 10th goal was scored with 3:04 remaining, but they did not get the needed 11th goal before time expired. Wednesday: DAY IN REVIEW: Thomas scored the first six goals in their 11-10 win over Churchville-Chili.  Although the Titans led by six twice during the contest, the Saints kept the game interesting in the fourth.  Churchville-Chili came within one goal twice in the final quarter, but could not tie the game.  Their tenth goal was scored with 3:04 remaining, but they did not get the needed eleventh goal before time expired. Pal-Mac and Waterloo Win

Wednesday: DAY IN REVIEW: There were two games played today and both were mismatches. Pal-Mac scored ten goals in the first quarter and defeated Cathedral Prep with fourteen players making the offensive book. In a closer game, Waterloo took an 8-7 halftime lead and scored five goals in the third to win their game with East United. Anthony DeFrancesco and Dillon McCann each had five goals for the Blue Devils. Full Story

Brighton Wins in Overtime Again

Brighton fought back from a two goal deficit at the end of the third quarter to defeat Pittsford in overtime 10-9.  The Barons and Panthers played a back and forth game with both teams leading before Pittsford took a two goal lead at the end of the third quarter. Brighton’s defense held the Panthers scoreless for the final 13 minutes of regulation and another 3 minutes in overtime. Full Story

Tuesday: DAY IN REVIEW: Brighton fought back from a two goal deficit at the end of the third quarter to defeat Pittsford in overtime 10-9. In overtime, both teams had attempts at the cage. Pittsford goalie Brecken Catalano recorded 2 of his 14 saves in overtime, but with 0:47 left in the first overtime period, Casey McDermott scored unassisted to give Brighton the win. Full Story

Canandaigua Comes from Behind Against Hilton

Canandaigua came back in the last quarter in a 11-10 come from behind win against Hilton.  The Braves trailed for the entire contest prior to their final goal with 5:24 left on the clock.  The Cadets, who led by 3 early in the game, could not tie the game for the sixth time in the final minutes.  The scoring for Hilton was spread out with six players scoring a single goal and the leading scorer (Ryan Butts) finished with 2g-2a.  For the Braves, Mark Belles led with 4g-1a.  Face-off midfielder Shawn Doran finished 18/25 for Hilton, with a team leading 11 ground balls. Week In Review - Week 7

There were fifty games played last week and lots of of exciting ones. At the moment there are seventy-two out of section games scheduled and fifty-eight have been played. Section Five has won thirty-one and the out of section teams have won twenty-seven. Full Story

Fairport Gives JD First Loss of the Season

Fairport defeated JD for the second straight season with a 10-9 win in the first overtime period.  Colin Peers scored his third goal of the night to give the Red Raiders the victory.  Over the past eleven years, JD and Fairport have faced off once a year.  The Rams were on a five year streak before the Red Raiders defeated them last year 14-12.  Overall, JD still leads the series 7-4.  This season, the Rams came into the game undefeated at 10-0.  They had two close one goal wins over West Genesee (8-7) and ESM (11-10).  With three minutes remaining in regulation, JD led by three 9-6 and were looking strong to keep up their undefeated season.  Fairport scored three goals in the final 2:37 to send the game into overtime.  Peers scored both the game tying goal as well as the overtime goal. Saturday: DAY IN REVIEW: Fairport defeated Jamsville-DeWitt for the second straight season with a 10-9 win in the first overtime period. Westhill Defeats Penn Yan by One

Friday: DAY IN REVIEW: For the third time this season the Penn Yan Mustangs lost a game win a single goal. Tonight the Mustangs fell to Westhill (Syracuse) 5-4. After a 2-2 first quarter Penn Yan scored the only goal in the the second, but gave up two goals in the third (while scoring one) to tie at the end of three quarters. Westhill (10-3) scored the only goal in the last quarter. Four different players each scored two pints for Westhill. Conner Fingar scored 2g-1a and Colt Smith added 2g while Jeff Kinyoun made 12s (71%) in the cage for Penn Yan (8-4) Full Story

Many Mismatches Today, and Hilton Takes Out Fairport

Thursday: DAY IN REVIEW: There were fourteen games played today and most were mismatches. Of the rest, Hilton, for the first time in program history, beat Fairport 9-8, despite a last quarter surge by the Red Raiders. The Cadets led 4-3 at the half and then scored five goals in the third to end the quarter up 9-4. The offense of Hilton was spread between eight players with Matthews Mojsej leading with 1g-2a. Ben Metrano, Brenden Howell and Michael Galante each added two goals while Clayton Duford recorded 9s (53%) for Hilton (8-3). Klay Stuvert and Colin Peers each had 3g-2 for Faiport (8-2) Full Story

Webster Schroeder fought back from a four goal deficit to defeat Churchville-Chili 9-8 in the first overtime period.  The Warriors scored the final five goals (including the overtime goal) in the win.  They held the Saints scoreless for 13 minutes. Full Story

Gananda Takes First Lead in Final 3 Minutes

Gananda trailed for nearly the entire contest before scoring the final goal of the game to defeat Newark 6-5.  The Blue Panthers scored tied the game for the fourth time with 4:13 left on the clock with Logan Chasey assisting AJ Golden.  Two minutes later with 2:30 remaining, Joel Bean scored off a feed from Golden to give Gananda their first lead.  They were able to hold off the Reds offense for the final two minutes to secure the victory. B-H Scores Final Three to Win

In a game of streaks, Bloomfield-Honeoye scored the final three goals of the game to defeat Eastridge 12-10.  The Pride, had both trailed by three and led by three at different points in the game.  In the second half, the game was much closer with three ties coming in the final 18 minutes. Thomas Holds Off Wayne

Thomas and Wayne played the conclusion of their match from April 16th today with the Titans winning 9-6.  Thomas scored five of the first seven goals to take an early lead that the Eagles could not fight back against.  This was only the second loss of the year for Wayne and first non-overtime loss.  With tonight’s win the Titans break a three game win-less streak, including an overtime loss to Fairport last week. Monday: DAY IN REVIEW: The second half of the Thomas at Wayne game was played tonight and the Titans, who led 5-4 when the game was suspended scored two goals in each of the remaining quarters to win 9-6. Sophomore attackman, Joe Russo led the Thomas book with 4g and junior offensiveman John Reagan led the Wayne book with 3g. Thomas plays Gates Chili on Tuesday and Wayne plays Mynderse. Full Story

Haverling Get Revenge After Early Season Loss

After an overtime loss earlier in the season, Haverling came into tonight’s game looking for revenge.  The Rams scored six of the last eight to defeat Livonia-Avon 8-7.  The Rams scored the tying goal with 2:23 remaining in the third quarter and the winning goal with 1:30 left on the clock in the third.  Neither team scored in the final 13 minutes of play.  The Lakers pressed early and held a 5-2 leading before Haverling began their late scoring streak. Greece Fights Back from Early Deficit

Greece Storm fought back from a four goal deficit to defeat Aquinas 9-8.  The  Storm scored the go ahead goal with only 1:01 remaining in regulation after trailing for the majority of the game.  That was only the second time in the entire game that Greece took the lead.  The first time was for less than a minute early in the fourth quarter.
