GAME NOTES: The final game of the regular season saw Mynderse defeating Livonia 17-14. In the first round of sectionals, Livonia forced overtime, but the result was the same. Mynderse won 10-9 when Brad Sandroni scored a goal with 0:43 remaining in the first overtime period. Unlike Thursday`s game, this game took a defensive tone from the first quarter. Livonia got on the board at 7:09 of the first with a goal from Tim Lischer. Mynderse took 12 shots in the first with no luck as Justin LaDuke had 5 of his 14 for the Rams. Full Story

Spencerport scored six unanswered goals at the end of the third and beginning of the fourth to take the lead and defeat Brockport 19-14. Before the stretch, the game was tied 12-12. Spencerport scored the first goal of the game when Owen VanWie scored his unassisted goal five minutes into the game. The Blue Devils kept the game close and tied for the first quarter. Each time Spencerport scored, Brockport tied the game within one minute. Austin Manchester scored 0:27 later to tie the game 1-1. Full Story

There were no upsets in the Section Five tournaments in the out bracket rounds as the higher seeded teams won in each case. Mynderse had a close one with Livonia, winning 10-9 in overtime. Full Story

The 2016 Section Five Tournaments began today with a single out bracket game for the Class A Tournament. Hilton was the winner as they hosted Rush-Henrietta. Full Story

The 2016 tournaments have been seeded and the schedules are set. VICTOR (Class A) with a record of 16-0 is the top of Class A and will defend their 2015 Championship (in Class B). PITTSFORD, PENFIELD and FAIRPORT took positions two, three and four. All nine teams play with Rush-Henrietta at Hilton playing in an out bracket game on Saturday. The quarter final contests will be at the home field of the higher seeded team on Tuesday.

The 2016 Section Five Tournaments will start this weekend with an out bracket game for Class A on Saturday and will end with the crowning of the Class B Champions on June 1st. Full Story

Penfield scored the game winning goal with 0:16 remaining on the clock to defeat Webster Schroeder 7-6. Matthew Schoeneck scored his second goal of the night to take the lead. The Warriors, who had trailed since halfway through the third quarter, forced the tie with 1:18 left on the clock. Penfield scored the opening goal of the game. In a game at that was back and forth for a half and will be repeated in the first round of Class C Sectionals on Monday, Mynderse pulled away in the second half to defeat Livonia 17-14. The Blue Devils scored five unanswered goals to end the second quarter and start the fourth.  Full Story

Aquinas fought back from an early deficit to defeat Haverling 9-6. The Little Irish were trailing well into the second quarter, before they fought back and took a two goal lead late in the fourth quarter. The Little Irish finish their season at 14-2 with their two losses coming in their opening game against Irondequoit (8-7) and against nationally ranked Victor 10-3. Full Story

Webster Thomas finished their season with a big overtime win over Pittsford (14-2). The Titans (11-5) scored five goals spanning five minutes to take a two goals lead. Pittsford forced overtime with only 0:26 left in regulation and the Titans secured the win in the sudden victory overtime with Nick Mabe assisting Matt Hill. Full Story

Under Amour recently announced their last (of four) "waves" of eleven players named All-American who will have the chance to play in the All America Games in July. Full Story

In a game that see-sawed back and forth, Thomas scored the winning goal in overtime to defeat Pittsford 12-11. On the other end of town Penfield defeated Schroeder by a goal in the last minute of the game. Full Story

With only one more day left in the regular season, but four teams finished their schedule today. Penn Yan and Churchville-Chili were the winners and will wait to see how the tournament seeding turns out on Friday. Full Story

Greece Athena/Odyssey scored four of the last five goals to defeat Brockport 11-10. The Thunder had trailed since the mid-portion of the second quarter before their scoring run took off in the fourth quarter. Brockport was held scoreless for 13 minutes at the end of the third and beginning of the fourth quarters. Full Story

*+In the battle of the two Webster High Schools, Webster Thomas defeated Webster Schroeder 12-8. The Warriors started the game off strong before the Titans scored six unanswered to end the first and start the second quarters. After taking control, Thomas stayed ahead by at least two goals for the second half. Full Story
