Ben Reeves Name Tewaraaraton Finalist

The list of finalists for the prestigious Tewaraaraton award that honors the top male and female college player in the United States was announced today and among the five finalists is Pal-Mac alumnus Ben Reeves. The current Yale sophomore earned first team All American honors and was named Ivy League Tournament MVP. He is the first finalist to come from Yale. Full Story

Gananda Takes Out Wayne

Gananda won their seventh straight game this season, this time against previously undefeated Wayne 10-9. The Panthers had previously lost to Wayne 15-14 in overtime earlier in the season. The Blue Panthers were looking to knock off one of the three remaining undefeated teams. Gananda led for nearly the entire game with the Eagles only led once and only for 5:45 of the 48 minutes. Brockport 13 - Eastridge 12

In a game that was tied seven times, Brockport scored the game winning goal with 1:17 remaining on the clock to secure the 13-12 win over Eastridge. Both teams led during the game with the Lancers holding the lead for much of the second half. Their largest lead was three goals (in the fourth quarter). Saturday: Gananda Takes Out Wayne

Gananda ruined Wayne`s undefeated season with a one goal win (10-9) on this last Saturday of the regular season. Brockport took a one goal win from Eastridge and Brighton was a 9-6 winner over visiting Lightning. Full Story

Overtime Win for Canandaigua

The Hamburg Bulldogs need overtime to guarantee their undefeated season (16-0), the only team in Section VI to have a perfect season. Canandaigua, who trailed 6-3 at the half were inspired in the second half and outscored the bulldogs with the same numbers (6-3) to force overtime. Full Story

Perotto Gives Pittsford Win Over Corning

In a game of halves, Pittsford defeated Corning 8-7. The Panthers scored the game winning goal in the final sixty seconds. The Hawks finish their season at 13-3 with two of their three losses to Section Five Teams. Corning came out of the gate ready to win and scored four of the first five to lead 4-1 with 5:27 left in the first half. Full Story

Gananda scored the first goal, and although the score was tied once, the Blue Panthers never trailed in their 11-8 win over Mynderse. Gananda`s Dylan Joy scored the opening goal with 3:24 left in the opening quarter. Full Story

Thomas 12 - Irondequoit 10

Thomas led for the majority of the game in their 12-10 win over Irondequoit. The Titans only trailed twice and only by a single goal both times. Although they led for most of the game, Irondequoit never trailed by more than three and was often within a single goal. Full Story

Thursday: Pittsford 8-7 over Corning and 15 Other Games

There were sixteen games played today as the regular season is starting to wind down. Pittsford came from behind to beat host Corning 8-7 in the closest game of the day. Thomas took Irondequoit by two (12-10) and Gananda beat Mynderse 11-8. Full Story

NOTES: In a game that began close, Bloomfield-Honeoye defeated Mynderse 9-5. The Pride scored the game opening goal with a nice feed from Jon Marble to Tyler Joslyn. The lead held for almost seven minutes before Mynderse scored their opening goal with 0:59 left in the first quarter. Full Story

Penn Yan Takes 10-7 Win From Fairport

Penn Yan scored the opening goal and never trailed in their 10-7 win over Fairport. The Mustangs steadily increased their lead over the entire game. The score was only tied once (1-1 in the first). In the second quarter the closest the game got was Penn Yan leading by one (4-3). The closest score of the third quarter was 8-5 Mustangs. Full Story

Greece Lightning senior defenseman Jacob Corcoran made his 200th career take away in the game and freshman attackman Colin Boglione scored his first varsity goal for the lightning and then added two more.
