A scholarship fund was established in the memory of Jeff Milano-Johnson, the 14 year old varsity lacrosse high school freshman who died while practicing for a lacrosse game in 2007. Full Story

Newark finished seventh in Finger Lakes Division I with a 1-7 record (4-14 overall). The Reds lost to Irondequoit in the first round of the Class B Tournament to finish as seeded. Full Story

Palmyra-Macedon finished last season 12-6 overall (7-1 in Finger Lakes Division II) and had their first winning season in over four years. The Red Raiders look to continue with that success this season as the two Finger Lakes divisions become one. Full Story

Waterloo ended their league season fourth in Division I with a 1-7 record (6-12 overall). They were seeded ninth and finished as seed with a first round loss to Batavia. Waterloo is going to feel the loss of their six graduated seniors. Full Story

A 12-7 win over Thomas early in the regular season secured the tie-breaker that gave Fairport the number one seed going into the Class A Sectional Tournament last season. Full Story

During their first season in Monroe County Division I, the Spartans finished 0-6 in league and 3-13 overall. Gates Chili was seeded twelfth in the tournament; however, they defeated higher seeded Brockport 9-7 to make it into the quarter finals where they lost to Schroeder. Full Story

During their first season in Monroe County Division I the Cadets finished 2-4 in league and 9-7 overall. Hilton, seeded ninth in the tournament, defeated higher seeded Rush-Henrietta in the first round 10-7 and then lost to Fairport in the quarter finals. Full Story

Webster Schroeder ended their league season tied for second in Monroe County Division I with a 4-2 record (9-7 overall). Seeded fourth in the Class A tournament the Warriors won their first two games (Arc-Oly and Gates Chili) and then lost to Fairport in a close 9-8 semi final game and finished as seeded. Full Story

Brockport finished last season with a 10-2 record in Monroe County Division III (10-6 overall). With a new league orientation, the Blue Devils will move to Monroe County Division II this season. Full Story

The New York State Class B Champion Braves of Canandaigua return in 2010 with a 20 game winning streak intact. The Braves, after losing two games early in the season to Orchard Park (4-5) and Corning East (6-9), the Braves won the last 20 games of the season including the state title game against Niskayuna. Churchville-Chili is a team that has seen incredible growth over the past five seasons. The Saints demonstrated last year that a large roster is not necessary for a team to succeed as they finished the season with only seventeen players on their roster. Full Story

Honeoye Falls-Lima finished fourth in Monroe County Division II with a 2-3 record (5-11 overall). Full Story

Irondequoit finished their league season second in Monroe County Division II with a 4-1 (12-4 overall). Their only loss came to Class A Champion Thomas. The Eagles were seeded second in the Class B tournament and lost to State Champion Canandaigua in the finals. Full Story

Webster Thomas won the first Section Five Tournament in 1975 and after thirty-four years, won it again in 2009. (A combined Webster team won in 1995). Full Story

Only three players are missing from the 2009 Victor roster; starting First Team defenseman Luke Wieser and starting goalie Kevin Donnelly who both graduated and the leading producer in goals, assists and points, Vince Pettrone who did not come out for the team this season. Full Story

Penn Yan won their twelfth straight Class C title and look to make it thirteen in 2010. The Mustangs defeated third seeded Livonia 10-7 to move into the State bracket. Full Story

Batavia has become stronger in each of their three years in existence. After finishing their inaugural season at 0-17 just three years ago, the Blue Devils came back and defeated higher seed Pal-Mac in the first round of the tournament two years ago and finished with three wins. Full Story

Brighton turned everything around last season after two relatively disappointing years. Having moved to Monroe County Division III and taking on a new Head Coach in Mike Gottko, the Barons finished with an 11-1 league record (13-3 overall). Full Story

East Rochester finished their inaugural season with a 0-12 league record (0-14 overall). They finished as seeded after a 7-11 loss to Midlakes in the first round. The Bombers only had three seniors last season and look to return most of their roster for their second season. Full Story

After and eleven year absence, the Bishop Kearney Kings fielded a Varsity team, who opened up the 2010 lacrosse season in 2010 with a 14-3 loss to visiting St. Francis High School (of Buffalo - Section VI). It was the first game for both teams, but the Red Raiders have a game tomorrow when the travel to Aquinas for a noon start. Full Story

On day number two of the 2010 season, there were six games played, and four of them were with out-of-section teams. Pal-Mac used the second half to beat East Rochester 7-3 and McQuaid Jesuit also came back with a strong second half effort as they defeated host Corning West 14-10. Full Story
