Opening Day 2008 - New Coaches

Haverling Wins to Start Lacrosse Play

Haverling snapped a 40 game winless streak with their 12-8 win over Owego in the first game of 2008 for Section Five lacrosse. Haverling traveled to Union Endicott for the game. Full Story

Aquinas Opens with a Win

As expected, the weather for tonight's Aquinas vs. St. Francis (Section Six) game was dismal at best but we're back to playing the game and we are in up-state New York. Aquinas won or tied every quarter and defeated the Red Raiders 9-5 and Coach Jerry Dawes was pleased. "After a win like today, we are enthusiastic for the rest of the season." Full Story

Haverling, CA, Livonia and AQ Win

With the Monroe County Athletic Directors, canceling play at Paetec, McAvoy, Irondequoit and Brighton, the only four games (all involving GRALL teams) were on a cold but sunny Saturday. Three of four GRALL teams were victorious over their competition as those dedicated lacrosse fan who braved the cold, saw great games played at the Wegman's Field at the Aquinas Institute. Victor and Hilton Win First

Monroe County and Finger Lakes opened their league seasons with a double-header at McAvoy Park. Victor was the 13-6 winner in the first game and Hilton was the 6-5 winner over Eastridge in the second game. Full Story
