Tuesday: Spencerport in OT and Gates Chili by One

Eleven games were played on Tuesday Spencerport and Hilt played to a tie nine times before Ben Tribunella scored on an assist by Seth Miller to give the Rangers a 12-11 victory. Full Story

On the last day of March there were a dozen games played and one game postponed. The most exciting game was Gates over Eastridge in overtime. Pal-Mac Beat Geneva 8-7. Full Story

Friday: Batavia falls to Medina

ven scoring by Medina and seven penalties on Batavia helped the Mustangs beat the Blue Devils 13-4 in a non league game this afternoon. Six different players for Batavia contributed to their offensive book. Full Story

Thursday: R-H in Overtime, Gates Chili over Brighton

Add six more games to the list of games played this season. Rush-Henrietta used twenty-one second of the first overtime period to beat visiting Pal-Mac. Full Story

Wednesday: McQuaid, ER and Lightning Win

On a normally "off-day" three games were played in Section Five. East Rochester had the closest game, as the tied Akron at the half 5-5 and when on to at 10-8 win. Both McQuaid and Greece Arc/Oly (Lightning) had big, lopsided wins. Full Story

Overall in GRALL, Livonia appears to have the strongest returning team. However, all five teams have strengths to demonstrate in the up-coming season. Full Story

Overall in Finger Lakes, 44 players return who had end of year honors last season. In total, 7 received 1st Team, 14 received 2nd Team and 23 received HM honors. By grade level, 4 are now sophomores, 13 are juniors and 27 are seniors. Full Story

- Monroe County Division 1 appears competitive again this season. Although Class B Champion Irondequoit has left to join MC-D2, there are still plenty of top tier teams playing DeJoeagainst each other. The top teams in the league appear to be Penfield, Fairport and Pittsford. Full Story

After three weeks of warm weather it was a little disheartening to have drizzle and cooler weather for the start of the game season. Three of the four games played in the section today were hosted at Aquinas. The first game of the season was Haverling-Haverling vs Mynderse Academy. Full Story

Two Locals Selected in MLL Draft

Last night's college draft placed sixty-four players on MLL team. Mike Manley, Duke University red shirt defenseman, was the third pick, overall and was taken by Rochester. Of the other eight Section Five players, looking for a spot, only Kevin Randall (Notre Dame) was selected (by Charlotte). The defenseman form Penfield was the first pick of the seventh round (#49).
