NOTES: In a game that was plagued by penalties, second seeded Webster Thomas defeated sixth seeded Irondequoit 14-12. The first half was relatively tame with two personal penalties and one technical. Penfield stood on the shoulders of their two newest All-Americans, Max Spaan and Willie Klan, to secure an 8-7 overtime victory over 2014 Class A Champion Fairport. After trailing 8-4 at halftime, the Royal Comets fought back hard in the second half, outscoring Hilton 8-3 in the final twenty-four minutes. The 2015 tournaments have been seeded and the schedules are set. Pittsford (Class A) with a record of 15-1 is the top of Class A. Penfield, Fairport and Rush-Henrietta took positions two, three and four. Fairport and Rush-Henrietta tied and Fairport won in the tie-breaker (with their win head-to-head on Thursday). All eight teams play in Tuesday quarterfinal contests at the home field of the higher seeded team. |
