Penfield traveled to Section Six to beat Orchard Park 9-8 in overtime. Although Thomas scored the first two goal of the game, Pittsford caught up and then used steady pressure as they defeated Webster Thomas 10-7 at Nazareth this afternoon. Full Story

Tuesday: Eleven Cancellations - One Game

Eleven games were cancelled throughout the afternoon, some at noon and some at the field. Penn Yan got a whole 1:05 into their game with Baldwinsville, and was in the lead (1-0) before they had to given in to the weather. There must have been a sunny patch in Chili as Churchville-Chili beat Gates Chili 16-4. Full Story

Brighton Lacrosse to Help the Troops

Monday: Livonia and East Rochester Win

Under heavy rains throughout most of the Section Livonia pounded Bishop Kearney 23-1 and East Rochester beat Gananda 19-7. The Rush-Henrietta at Hilton game was canceled. Full Story

There was only one game in the Section today and although it was originally scheduled as a "Friday Night Lights" game at the Academy, field conditions required that it be moved to Evans Field at 11:00 AM. Full Story

Fairport traveled to Ithaca where the Little Red, ranked #5 in lat week's NYS poll, defeated the Red Raiders 9-4. Meanwhile, the Penfield Patriots beat the Binghamton Patriots 12-5 in Penfield. Alex Miles led the offense with 5g-1a. Full Story

Aquinas and Webster Thomas played a close game, with the Little Irish winning 8-7 at McAvoy Park. Pittsford beat Penfield 12-2, Geneva beat Marcus Whitman (13-3) and East Rochester was a 21-3 winner over Bishop Kearney. Full Story

The Rams used steady scoring over four quarters in their 14-9 win at Spencerport tonight. McQuaid Jesuit finished their west coast tour with a 10-3 loss to La Costa Canyon (CA) last night. Full Story

Duxbury used a third quarter flurry of goals to nail down a 10-7 victory over Irondequoit this morning. Geneva posted five goals late in the game but lost in overtime to Canandaigua (11-10) and Penn Yan defeated Lakeland/Panas 8-5 this afternoon. Full Story

Monday: Vacation Week Begins with Three Games

The Fairport Red Raiders outscored Thomas with a score of 4-2 in both the first and second quarters on their way to a 12-9 win at McAvoy Park today. Junior goalie Andrew Clark has 22 saves to help Haverling win a 16-7 victory over visiting Chenango Valley (Section 4).

here were thirteen games today in Section Five and a large number of games were lop-sided. Winners by big margin included Fairport, Pittsford, Penfield, Penn Yan, Geneva and Pal-Mac. Full Story

Wednesday: HF-L and Brighton Win in Shutouts

Thursday: Brockport over ER by One, Pittsford Takes OP

Pittsford traveled to Orchard Park (Section Six, Buffalo) where the Panthers and the Quakers played great defense, took home a 4-2 victory. Brockport overcame their deficit and scored the winning goal, late in the game as the Blue Devils beat ER 10-9. Full Story

Wednesday: Gray Scores Winner for Midlakes

In the single game played today, a makeup of an earlier postponed match up, Cory Gray scored the game winner with 0:41 left in the game. The Pride started off with a bang, scoring the first (unanswered) goals in the game and led after the first quarter 6-1. Full Story
