Sophomore midfielder Garrett Ruff scored the final four goals for HF-L to give them a 9=8 victory and their first win over Irondequoit in program history. The Eagles led for nearly the entire game before Ruff brought them on top with 7:53 remaining in the game. Although both teams had chances in the final minutes, the Cougars were able to hold off any additional scoring for Irondequoit. Full Story

The game was all about scoring runs. The first quarter had no scoring with both goalies coming up with big saves. In the three years that Pittsford has face Duxbury, the Panthers have won all three. Today, Pittsford won 6-5. The Panthers have scored six goals each year with Duxbury scoring 5 in 2014, 2 in 2015 and 5 this year. When the Dragons held Pittsford to six last season it was the smallest amount the Panthers were held to all year. Duxbury is a nine-time Mass State Champion. Full Story

Senior midfielder Nick Tschetter (3g-1a) scored the game winning goal with 0:02 remaining in the first overtime period. The entire game was back and forth with the score only more than one goal apart for 0:32 in the third quarter. The lead changed in the contest four different times. Full Story

Brighton took the lead in the second quarter and kept the lead for the rest of the game. The Barons defeated Rush-Henrietta 17-14 to remain undefeated. The early game was back and forth with the score tied at 2-2, 3-3, 4-4, 5-5 and 6-6 before the Barons scored five unanswered goals to secure the lead.  Full Story

Penfield Takes Canandaigua

Penfield took the lead with 5:48 remaining in the first quarter and never trailed again in their 11-9 win over Canandaigua. Although the Braves opened the scoring, Penfield scored the next four goals to lead 4-1 after the first quarter. Canandaigua moved within a single goal twice, but never re-tied the game. This is the first time that Penfield has defeated Canandaigua since 2012. Full Story

Spencerport Gets One Goal Win

Greece Athena/Odyssey scored the first goal of the game, but could not hold on to the lead and Spencerport defeated the Thunder 8-7. Zack Gibaud scored the first goal nearly halfway through the opening quarter. Less than one minute later, Spencerport added back to back goals to take their first lead and although the game was tied after that the Rangers never trailed. Full Story

Wayne remained undefeated with an overtime win against Gananda, 15-14. The Blue Panthers trailed by three with less than two minutes on the clock before forcing overtime with 0:02 remaining. The Screaming Eagles, who led from the third quarter on, scored the gaming winning goal with 2:32 remaining in the first overtime period. Cooper Pieroni scored his sixth goal of the game for Wayne. Help Canandaigua Alum Fight Brain Cancer

Mike Pane, a member of the CA class of 2004 and former Head Coach at Gananda is, once again, fighting for his life against brain cancer. After beating the cancer in 2010, Mike was the first coach at Gananda and took them from a 2-13 record in their first year to 12-6 record in 2012 and 13-4 in 2013. Full Story

This was the first game this season where the Rams were held under 10 points and only the second time they did not defeat their opponents by at least 9. Only three Rams made the scorebook with Griffin Cook and Ryan Archer scoring three goals apiece and Andrew Barclay adding one (one goal was unattributed).  Full Story

Three man-up goals during a non-releasable penalty gave Schroeder a three goal lead late in the second quarter and that was enough to hold off Spencerport`s late advance. The Warriors won 10-8 over the Rangers. The game was neck and neck before the scoring streak. Both teams alternated scoring in the first and early second quarters with Spencerport holding a 3-2 lead with 5:56 remaining in the second quarter.  Full Story

NOTES: After a 2-2 tie in the first Penn Yan had two 3-1 quarters on their way to the 9-6 win. In the history since 2003, Canandaigua is ahead 11 wins to ten. The Cadets led for most of the game before Churchville-Chili took control in the fourth quarter. With an exception of two minutes in the first quarter, Hilton led or tied for the first 38 minutes. NOTES: Jason Feinberg scored his 100th career goal for Geneva in their 11-9 win over Gananda. The Blue Panthers played a strong first 24 minutes before having a difficult second half. Gananda led 4-1 at the half and extended their lead to 5-1 with the opening goal of the third quarter. They were then held to only a single goal of the next eleven. By the final three minutes of the contest the Panthers held an 11-6 lead. Gananda scored the final three goals to make the score closer. Full Story

For the third year in a row, Penfield defeated Penn Yan. With their 9-8 win today, the Patriots now hold a 4-3 lead in the series, which stretches back to their first meeting in 2010. The Mustangs scored the first goal of the game and held the lead for 40 seconds before Penfield tied the game 1-1. Penfield scored six of the next seven goals to take control of the game. They led 6-2 at halftime and never looked back. Full Story

Thomas in a One Goal Win Over Fairport

In a game that was never more than two goals apart, Thomas scored two of the last three goals to defeat Fairport 12-11. Both teams had opportunities to lead throughout the game. Thomas moves the series to 12-6 in Fairport's favor. The Titans have defeated the Red Raiders two years in a row with last season's 11-10 overtime win against them. Full Story

Churchville-Chili scored three of the last four to secure the 16-13 win over HF-L and at 8-0 remains one of only four undefeated teams left in the section. The Saints played strong in the beginning and end of the game but, in what has become a pattern, they could not pull away from their opponents and allowed HF-L to stay in the game well into the second half. The Cougars led going into the second half before Churchville-Chili outscored them 7-3 in the second 24 minutes. Full Story
