Monday: Pittsford Wins at Disney

No foolin' - Pittsford won their first of two games this week in Florida was they defeated Milton High School from Georgia 13-6. Although Milton scored the first goal of the game, the Panthers then took over leading 4-2 after the first quarter and 8-2 at the half. Full Story

Tuesday: Canandaigua Moves to 4-0 with win over Geneva

There were only five games played today. Canandaigua broke open a tie with Geneva to win their game at Evans Field, 8-5. Webster Thomas had an exciting 9-8 win over visiting Churchville-Chili. Full Story

Wednesday: Fairport over Hilton

There were two games played today. Fairport hosted Hilton and used twenty-three of its thirty-nine players to complete their stats as they finished with a 16-4 victory. Meanwhile, down on Long Island, Penfield lost to Comsewogue 9-8. Full Story

Thursday: Schroeder over Churchville 11-5

There were only four games played today. Webster Schroeder used seven goals in the second half to beat Churchville-Chili 11-5. Even scoring gave Aquinas a 15-11 win over visiting HF-L. Webster Thomas beat the Greece Lightning 15-5 and Brighton beat Brockport 15-2. Full Story

Friday: Penn Yan Gets 9-2 Win at Canandaigua

In the big rivalry game between Penn Yan and Canandaigua, the Mustangs started with a slow and steady scoring and finished with a 9-2 win at Exhibition Field in Canandaigua. Full Story

Saturday: Brighton over Gates, Fairport and both R-H Win

Brighton and Gates Chili played a good night game tonight. The Barons won 8-6. Fairport was a big winner over Victor 16-4 and Rush-Henrietta beat Waterloo 10-3. Down south, McQuaid Jesuit lost to Strake Jesuit of Texas 7-5. The game was played in Tampa. Full Story

Avon had lots of offense on Monday, from two senior attackmen. Jimmy Appleton racked up nine goals and Ryan Doudt added 6g-1a as the "Green Machine" travel to Batavia and defeated the Blue Devils 17-8. Full Story

Wednesday: Penn Yan over Victor 12-6

Penn Yan traveled to Victor tonight and brought home at 12-6 victory, boosting their record to 4-0. Seven players contributed to the offensive book for the Mustangs. Andrew Perl led in scoring with 4g. Six different players for Victor each scored one goal. Full Story

Thursday: Pittsford Over CA and Penfield Over OP

Pittsford scored seven unanswered goals spanning the second and third quarters to secure their 10-3 win over Canandaigua. Penfield won a convincing 10-3 victory from Orchard Park (Section 6). Full Story

There were lots of games played in an around Section Five today. The day started with Mynderse beating Waterloo 8-6 and ended with an overtime win for Fairport, who defeated West Genesee 9-8. Full Story

Brandon Maciejewski Selects Stony Brook

Penn Yan junior goalie Brandon Maciejewski recently announced his commitment to attend and play lacrosse at SUNY Stony Brook after his graduation in 2014. One of the most dramatic goalies in Section Five, "Mace" has played on the Mustang Varsity since 8th grade and has been a starter since his freshman year. Having logged more than 2,100 minutes in the goal, the junior has recorded 406 saves (63%). Last year he was named to the D&C Rochester Super 16, was a first team All Section Five player, the Class C Section Five Tournament MVP and a member of the All-Tournament team. Full Story

There were a number of out of section games played today and Section Six (Buffalo) won them all. Hamburg defeated Canandaigua 13-12, Orchard Park won their game with Pittsford and Williamsville-North beat Spencerport in overtime 13-12. Full Story

Saturday: Gananda over Waterloo 9-8 and Many Mismatches Today

There were 12 games played on Saturday and the vast majority were mismatches. Gananda and Waterloo, however, played a close one which saw the Blue Panthers winning 9-8. Full Story

Monday: Gates Chili Takes Pal-Mac, Whitman over Haverling
