GRALL Announces 2014 Awards

The All Star list is out recognizing the GRALL players for the 2014 season. Senior attackman, Alex Bianchi from Aquinas was selected as GRALL "Player of the Year". The GRALL coaches gave the Sportsmanship award to All GRALL Teams. Full Story

Finger Lakes Announced 2014 Awards

The All Star list is out recognizing the Finger Lakes players for the 2014 season. Junior attackman, Ben Reeves from Pal-Mac was, for the third year in a row, selected as Finger Lakes "Player of the Year". The "Midfielder of the Year" wasEddie Eddington from Geneva. The "Defenseman of the Year" was Dylan Joy from Gananda and Pal-Mac Head Coach Joe Hill was named Coach of the Year. Matt Morrin was named Assistant Coach of the Year and Tom Palmer from Gananda was named Man of the Year. Eddie Eddington was named a USLacrosse All American and Ben Reeves was named a USLacrosse Academic All American by the Section Five Coaches. Full Story

Next Up: The NYS Semi Finals

After the quarter final games on Saturday, May 31st. There are two sites running quarter final games, including the "Western Semifinals" which feature Section Three hosting Section Five at Cicero-North Syracuse High School in Cicero (Syracuse). The Eastern Semifinals will be held at Hofstra University at the same time. Full Story

Wednesday: Good Games but Clean Sweep for Section 3

All three games could have gone either way, and the teams from Section Five played well, but all three fell to the team from Section Three in the semi final round.  Full Story

F-M Over Fairport in Overtime

The Red Raiders traveled to Cicero-North Syracuse High School in Syracuse for the first of the three Upstate semi finals games today. It has been a long time for the Fayetteville-Manlius Hornets to get this far, having to battle the tough Class A schedule in Section Three. Full Story

JD Ends Victor`s Season

TD Ierlan took the first face off right to the goal, but was unsuccessful and after a quick trip up and back, sophomore defenseman Jack Callahan gave the ball to sophomore attackman Max Lambert for the first goal of the game. Full Story

NYS: Clean Sweep Tournament

At least as far as the Upstate tournaments were concerned, it was a series of clean sweeps. In the out bracket round it was a clean sweep for Section Three. In the quarter finals Section Five teams swept Section Six and Section Three swept Section 10. In the semi finals it was a swept for Section three over Section Five and in the finals the Section Three teams all lost to Downstate teams. Full Story

Senior Games Up this Friday at Victor

The Rochester Chapter of USLacrosse has announced the 2014 Herb Fitch Lacrosse All Star Game final player selections. This year`s contest, featuring some of the best of the graduating seniors will be held on Friday, June 13th at Victor High School. Full Story

 The Genesee Valley Lacrosse Officials Association celebrated fifty years of service at their Year End Gathering last week. Organization President, Jim Malloy led the group as they held their business meeting and the presented a number of awards. Full Story
