Harold Scores In Overtime for Haverling

Haverling scored four of the last five goals in their 13-12 overtime win over McQuaid Jesuit.  The Rams led with 5 minutes left in the game, before McQuaid Jesuit scored their first goal of the fourth quarter to tie the game at 12-12 with 4:54 remaining.  The game winning goal was scored by Ethan Harold (unassisted) with 1:27 remaining in the first overtime period. Gates Chili Fights Back in Fourth Quarter for Win

Gates Chili scored two goals in the final minute to secure their first lead since the game opening goal and defeat Eastridge 14-13.  The Lancers led for nearly the entire game and had two different 5 goals leads over the Spartans.  Gates Chili scored five of the last six and eight of the last ten goals in the comeback win.  The game winning goal was scored by Nicholas Ehmann with 0:11 remaining on the clock. Irondequoit Uses Third Quarter to Spring to Victory

Irondequoit held off the late advances by Churchville-Chili to defeat the Saints 14-12.  The game was close for the first half, before Irondequoit took off in the second half on the back of Jack Brennan.  Brennan had 1g-2a in the first half and 6g-1a in the second half.  His was part of 7/9 goals in the second half.  Full Story

Wednesday: Brighton Ends HFL Undefeated Season

Brighton bounced back from yesterday`s defeat at Fairport and ended the undefeated season of HF-L, the last team in the Section with a perfect record. Shots came from many angles as five Barons scored along with leaders Brady McDermott (4g-2a) and Brett Randall (4g-2a). Full Story

Penfield Holds Lead to Defeat Eagles

Penfield scored the opening goal of the game and although Irondequoit tied the game three times, the Patriots never trailed.  Penfield played a strong offensive game and held possession for large chunks of time.  Their settled offense forced Irondequoit to rush when they did have the ball on offense.  Patrick Hynes was a defensive standout for the Eagles.  He repeatedly made saves that he had no business making and kept Irondequoit in the game. Tuesday: Taylor Clements Wins for Newark

Taylor Clements (3g) scored the game winning goal with 1:02 remaining in the game to break an 8-8 tie and give Newark a 9-8 win over host Midlakes. Robert Middlebrook scored 4g for the Eagles. Fairport took a 6-0 first quarter lead and never looked back in their game with Brighton. Jake Santini made eight saves (67%) and Reese Burek led the Red Raider offense with 4g-2a. Full Story

Colton Scored Two for Waterloo

Tyler Colton scored the final two goals for Waterloo in their 5-2 win over Newark.  The game was close for the first half before the Indians took off in the second half.  Waterloo held the Reds scoreless for the final 32 minutes, while adding three of their own.  Parker Casselman and Forrest Blondell scored for the Reds.  For Waterloo, Derek Excell (3) and Adam Jenson (4) led in the ground balls count.  George Williams recorded 15 saves (88%) for the Indians. Gates Chili Pulls Away in Fourth Quarter

After three back and forth quarters, Gates Chili pulled away in the fourth quarter to defeat Rush-Henrietta 9-6.  The Spartans held the Royal Comets scoreless in the final 12 minutes while adding four of their own. Full Story

Buck Ties School Record in Win

Jacob Buck tied his school record for most goals in a single game in the 16-15 Churchville-Chili win over Spencerport.  He finished with 8g-1a for the Saints.  Historically this was the 17th consecutive win for Churchville-Chili over Spencerport.  The last win for the Rangers was eleven years ago.  Today’s game was close throughout with the largest lead being a three goal lead late in the game for Churchville-Chili (16-13).  During the contest both teams lead and neither could pull away.  Both teams survived 3 minute non-releasable stick penalties with only 1 goal against for each team. Saturday: Four One-Goal Games Today

DAY IN REVIEW: McQuaid Jesuits fought back from a 10-6 score at then end of the third quarter and forced a tie ended in overtime when Liverpool earned the win. Jack Billitier led the Knights with 2g-3a. Pal-Mac also used overtime to win their game with Wayne and a game that was close throughout. Kasey Gallina led the Raiders with 3g-1a and Jared Hurlbutt was credited with 12s (57%). For Wayne, Jon Ecker led with 3g. Full Story

Victor Scores Seven of Eight Straight in Win

Victor trailed 2-0 after six minutes before scoring seven of the next eight in their 9-8 win over Fayetteville-Manlius.  FM attempted a late comeback but could not tie the game again after 2-2 to end the first.  The Blue Devils held off in the fourth quarter and did not allow a shot after the final FM goal (5:28 remaining in the fourth quarter). Victor had scoring from six different players, with Zach Estabrooks leading at 3g-1a.  Tucker Hill had a good game at the face-off, finishing 11/16 with a team leading five ground balls. Full Story

Friday: Batavia Wins First Game of the Season

Batavia saw the "fruit of their hard work" with their first win of the season as they defeated Avon. Alex Snell and Joe Allegue each turned in 6g-1a in the contest and Dustin Veitch and Tyler Kuhn combined for 17 saves. Full Story

Pittsford-Victor Game Tonight - THURSDAY

One of the premiere matchups of the regular season will be the Victor at Pittsford game which will be held at Pittsford Sutherland High School at 7:30 PM. Pittsford will be asking for a $2.00 donation in support of the National Wounded Warrior Foundation in the Shootout for Soldiers that will be hosted by Canandaigua this summer.  Full Story

Victor defeated Pittsford for the fourth year in a row today.  The Blue Devils handing the Panthers their first loss of the season.  Victor controlled nearly the entire contest and led 6-1 with just over 2 minutes remaining in the contest. Full Story

Lightning Goes on a Run to Win

Greece Arcadia/Olympia defeated Brockport 10-7 to increase their record to 2-7.  The Lightning have not won a game since their opener (also against Brockport) when they defeated the Blue Devils 13-12 (HERE).  With the loss, Brockport is also 2-7 on the season. Full Story

Gates Chili Dominate Third Quarter to Win

April 27, 2017 - Gates Chili scored eight unanswered goals to defeat Spencerport 10-9.  The Spartans were looking for redemption for their season opening overtime loss to Spencerport (HERE).  Tonight, Gates Chili had a 10-5 lead before the Rangers scored the last four goals and attempted to force overtime.  The Rangers played a strong first half and led 5-2 with 4:26 remaining in the second quarter, before Gates Chili scored eight straight. McQuaid Jesuit Scores Five of Last Six in Win

Note: McQuaid Jesuit took over in the fourth quarter and scored five of the last six to defeat Haverling 14-10.  The four goal differential was the largest of the game.  Before the final scoring run by the Knights, the largest difference was a two goal split at 6-4 going into halftime.  The Knights broken their four game losing streak with tonight’s win and increase to 5-4 on the season. Thursday: Victor Takes Out Pittsford

Victor defeated Pittsford for the fourth year and handed the Panthers their first loss of the season with their 6-3 win. Victor controlled nearly the entire contest and led 6-1 with just over 2 minutes remaining in the contest. Zach Estabrooks score four goals for the Blue Devils and goalie Chayse Ierlan made 7s (70%) for Victor. There was a large crowd and Pittsford asked for a $2.00 donation in support of the National Wounded Warrior Foundation in the Shootout for Soldiers that will be hosted by Canandaigua this summer. Waterloo Scores Final Three in Win

Waterloo scored the final three goals to defeat Bloomfield-Honeoye 6-4.  The Indians also scored the first three goals to take the early lead.  All four of the Pride’s goals were scoring in a stretch spanning the second and third quarters. Full Story

Tuesday: Brighton Over CA in OT

DAY IN REVIEW: Junior midfielder Shea McDonald scored the winning goals with 10.1 seconds left in overtime to give Brighton (4-3) the win over visiting Canandaigua (6-3) with a scored of 14-13. Casey McDermott was the scoring leader for the Barons with 4g-2a. Brett Randall added 4g. Full Story

Monday: Marcus Whitman and B-H Win

There were two games played on Monday. Bloomfield-Honeoye scored the first goal and never was behind in their win over Mynderse. Six players made the Pride offensive book, Jon Marble scored 2g-2a and Tyler Joslyn added 3g. Goalie Devin Campbell led in the ground ball effort with five and made seven saves (58%). Jake Curran scored 1g-2a and four others added one goal each for the Blue Devils, whose goalie, Noah Goodall made eleven saves (55%). Full Story

Blue Devils Fall

In their second consecutive match against Section Five teams, Brother Rice defeated Victor 10-9. The Warriors lost to Canandaigua last night 8-7 (HERE).  After a third quarter where the Blue Devils failed to take a single shot, the Warriors fought back from a four goal deficit to tie the game at 7-7.  They continued their scoring into the fourth quarter to lead by two with 2:30 left in the fourth quarter.
