Saturday: Four One-Goal Games Today

April 29, 2017 - DAY IN REVIEW: McQuaid Jesuits fought back from a 10-6 score at then end of the third quarter and forced a tie ended in overtime when Liverpool earned the win. Jack Billitier led the Knights with 2g-3a. Pal-Mac also used overtime to win their game with Wayne and a game that was close throughout. Kasey Gallina led the Raiders with 3g-1a and Jared Hurlbutt was credited with 12s (57%). For Wayne, Jon Ecker led with 3g.

Victor fought off advances by Fayetteville-Manlius to take a 9-8 win with senior attackman Zach Estabrook leading the offensive book with 3g-1a. Churchville-Chili held off a last minute surge by Spencerport in their one goal game. There were eight ties in the game with the goal differential rarely more than one goal. Jacob Buck scored 8g-1a for the Saints. Jonathan Agness scored 6g-6a for the Rangers.

After three back and forth quarters, Gates Chili pulled away in the fourth quarter to defeat Rush-Henrietta 9-6. The Spartans held the Royal Comets scoreless in the final 12 minutes while adding four of their own. Jarrett Kirkpatrick scored 3g-1a for the Spartans and James LaRocca scored 3g and Brandon Waden added 3a for the Royal Comets.

Tyler Colton scored the final two goals for Waterloo in their 5-2 win over Newark. The game was close for the first half before the Indians took off in the second half.

Also winning games were Geneva, St. Joseph, Fairport, Pittsford, Gananda, Brighton and Canandaigua.
